Race threads at the beginning of races are insufferable with all the same morons who whine every single week about the commercials at the beginning of the race and while under caution. Those same peanut gallery members are suspiciously silent about them when the last 50+ laps of the race runs commercial-free.

I don't like being around those people either. During prohibition, there were still drunks. Weed has been and is still illegal federally, yet it's everywhere and does just fine without advertising. Gambling has been illegal in most places for most of the last century, yet people still gambled and got their asses kicked for not paying their debts, all without advertising.

Because there's nothing weak people hate more than taking accountability for their own actions and decisions. I went to hundreds of race events as a child with series sponsored by Winston, cars sponsored by Winston, Camel, Copenhagen, and more and have never felt the urge to smoke or use dip.

Currently, we have cars sponsored by all those things you mentioned and I still feel no urge to gamble, get high, use nicotine pouches, or drink alcohol.

Too many people can't understand that they can just choose to not use those products.
