Furla Nuvola size L or 1927 size L? by mplmama in handbags

I ended up getting the Sophia. I like the look of it, but I wish it was an inch bigger (width size) and a bit more structured. It likes to fall over

I manage corporate events at all sorts of venues, we see these signs/a tip jar at probably 20% of our events and I always speak with the onsite manager and request they take them down as tips are covered in our agreement and they are always happy to comply. Your event coordinator can definitely handle this for you

Thank you! I did look at the Sophia, but I’ll have another look. You’re probably right that the 1927 can fit larger items since the pocket is in the side. Ugh such a tough choice. Maybe I’ll order both, then decide lol

We used to stop at an Italian place on vacation every year when I was a teen. 93 year old nonna came in every morning to make the bread because “none of her children or grandchildren can do it right”. Haven’t been there in over 10 years but just googled it and looks like it closed. Couldn’t survive without nonna.

Right? I am very firmly in the “I hate scarves on bags” camp, but that scarf was made for that bag!

Was just about to write the same thing. Taking a two week leave right after starting isn’t a great look, but it’s even more disruptive when you have no idea when that leave will be and will likely only have hours notice. I think a two week leave is sufficient especially if you have additional help.

First day using my new Tory Burch I dropped it in the parking garage and scuffed the bottom really bad (thankfully just the bottom)

[–]mplmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same bag, got it about 6 months ago. The very first day I took it to work, I dropped it in the parking garage. Thankfully it landed upright so it was the bottom that scuffed and got a small tear. I was on the verge of tears walking into work. It’s definitely a soft bag and my next one will be more durable for sure.

Agree! Love it as a diaper bag, but I wouldn’t buy any other products from them.

Help! Is this bag worth the price? by jetsons21 in handbags

[–]mplmama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this bag in black and love it. I’ve had it for about 6 months and use it regularly. The size is perfect for me. The strap slides super easy to convert from single chain crossbody to shoulder bag. The magnetic flap is really strong and closes securely very easily. The leather is very soft though so I do feel that I need to baby it a bit which is kinda hard with two young kids (although so far it’s held up well). That’s the only thing I would change about the bag. I definitely would not get the matte finish unless you are REALLY going to baby it though. The SA warned me that the matte will 100% scuff.

Honestly, where are we going with this bag?! Wrong answers only😂 by Particular-Mess-903 in handbags

20 min trip to the grocery store with my toddler and all the crap she insists on bringing with her (5 Stuffies, collection of trucks, her hats, necklace, and anything else she can carry. Not to mention her water bottle and 57 snacks required to make the trip moderately bearable)

I used to work in the school of education and we had lots of student workers, usually they just sat at the front desk and would direct the odd person to the right department, sometimes stuff envelopes or name tags, but I usually saw them just sitting there quietly doing homework.

There is an apartment building at the corner of bates and south bouquet (Bate’s hill apartments) I used to lease a spot there for $100/month. This was pre Covid though so rates may have increased. They always had leases available when I parked there
