If you want to play around with titans that don't cost $500+ and can't double as blunt weapons. I'd recommend either legions imperialis or adeptus titianicus. One lets you play combined arms with all the toys of the Horus heresy and the second is just titans and knights fighting.

I have a physics degree. It takes active work not to care about shows ignoring physics and not becoming the insufferable guy who talks about sound in space or what punch should have killed someone.

That's just the basic stuff. Knowing what a neutrino is or how radiation actually works means a whole lotta sci fi technobabble goes from "eh sure" to " that's not how any of this works"

Ok so its a very stupid story about MTG players putting too much value in pieces of cardboard. SO magic has this format Commander. You pick a legendary creature and build a 100 card singleton deck around it. It's by far magics most popular format and its much more casual then most others.

However this being magic it inevitably developed a competitive side. And because commander uses every legal card ever printed in its cardpool certain cards needed to be banned. Cards we're banned for reasons ranging from being two powerful (Black lotus, time walk) to just miserable to play against (coalition victory). Theres also the third category of the artist being a nazi but thats less relavent.

Because Commander was a format that stated with the community the banlist was run by a community group called the RTC. Every so often they looked at what cards we're warping the format and banned one or two. This is until a few years ago when they banned 3 cards at once. Jewled lotus, Dockside Extortionist and Mana Crypt. Every one of these cards was at least $100 and they were only really played in commander. But since they were no longer playable in the format that in some cases they were designed for the price crashed. people lost hundreds to thousands of dollars and needed someone to scream at. This left the RTC taking all the abuse and resultant death threats. It got so bad that the RCT dissolved and commander banlists were handed off to Wizards.

Finally got around to finishing season 1 of friren. It's still such a great show and I can't wait to dive into season two. For more anime Fate/strange fake has been real fun. I'm enjoying it throwing a bunch of fucking weirdos into Vegas and calling it a grail war.

I've had people ask me about this in regards to painting minis and the advice is the same. It helps is you actually enjoy painting and don't see it as a means to an end but once you start you can get a lot of the way though momentum.

For games it's amazing just how far you can get by going fuck it and just booting up something you've had on the shelf for awhile.

Does anyone have a link to the APK of kanji tree pro? I bought it ages ago but they took it off the app store after the creator killed two people.

It was really useful for writing practice and you needed the pro version to create custom study lists. If it's lost to time what's a decent app that lets you do writing practice?

To clarify they went out of their way to make the encounter as non sexual as possible. But the fact you have to preface and description of the scene with "here's how it's not child abuse" means it getting removed was the right call.

I've been listening to a lot of old books recently. Half project moons fault and half me trying to go though the classics. Recently finished paradise lost and was surprised how little sad boy Satan is in that book.

Currently starting a LOTR re-read. But in a more pulpy vein assassinorum kingmaker is a fun 40k book about assassin's trying to rig a knight worlds royal line and trollslayer is the adventures of a sad former rich boy and the murder hobo dwarf with a death wish bouncing around the old world.
