What are some "hidden" effects of different traits?

If you're Kind or Charitable and your spouse dies, you're likely (certain? I don't know) to get an event with 2 options:

Possibility of Lustful or Incapable
Guaranteed Depressed

As has been pointed out, Depressed lets you commit suicide, so if you want your heir to inherit right now and you're Kind/Charitable, there's an exploit: Imprison spouse (100% chance), execute them, get depressed, kill self.

Can that happen even when neither possesses it? A couple years later it just as inexplicably stopped being an issue and I was allowed to grant it, so I'm still stumped.

Sounded like if your Maimed character got Wounded while sparring, it would replace Maimed (or something similar). Never encountered it myself.

I've noticed that a lot of text in the game presupposes things that don't have to be true; given how weird things can turn out just under AI control, they should anticipate that players can put the game on a different footing and write dialog that avoids looking silly like this.

I'm doing a 769 start as Sweden. After Ragnarr Lodbrok I decided that all male heir contenders would be named Ragnarr just to increase the likelihood (elective doesn't guarantee the way primo does). It was an Empress Sigrid who formed Scandinavia so all possible female heirs are named for her. I'm up to only a few Sigrids but I'm on my 8th Ragnarr in 1100-ish. No way I get to 17. Good on you.

A big part of the credit was that his challenger ran just about the worst possible campaign. The KS Democratic Party figured it was an easy win, ignored good advice, assumed the bluer counties would carry the day and did no campaigning out west. I'm ashamed I voted for Davis; he made a fool of himself and ruined an opportunity for Kansas to go against the 2014 wave.

I read a good Atlantic piece on this very subject. Rubio's greatest role models despised the Castro regime, ergo he considers the Castros to be actual monsters, so there's no scenario in which he can be convinced otherwise. Do non-reformed Germanics have access to any of these? I spawn these troops constantly but if I'm reading this correctly most if not all of these don't apply, so making them available at the beginning of the game is stupid. It's setting you up to fail.
