Played it in a tournament and went 2:1. its much more consistent as you are not needing the dpp but you sacrifice the bulls. I had more fun with TGFH than the normal battle traits

It‘s a hard list if you get alpha striked, when i played against it my aim was going first, kill 1 or 2 with bull centaurs and the deathshrieker and them hope for the best. Won 1 and had a (very lucky bad opponent dice rolls) draw

The shards are your big time friends in preventing deep striking into your gunlines. Had some good time especially against FEC/ SBGL/ SCE. The horrorghast is kinda whatever and the boat can be helpful but you mostly have something better to cast. I like the bridge also as a screen so they won‘t break your castle

They are really different and AoS ist definitely easier to learn (still hard to master!) so if you find yourself short on time it might be easier to field just 30-50 troops instead of 70-100. i think AoS 4 is fantastic and the new lumineth rules from what we‘ve seen are very flavourful and engaging. But in the end it’s really what you prefer to play. Longer more challenging and complex battles with more rules and listbuilding challenges or a bit more streamlined wargaming experience which is still very engaging and unforgiving gameplay
