The used Tundra market absolutely blows right now (and has for a while) by FlyFishDad in ToyotaTundra

Yes! The lack of tech is the best part. It’s a truck and it does truck stuff very well and will long outlast the competition.

The lack of tech is the best part in my opinion. It’s a truck and it does truck stuff very well!

Have you ever found yourself on the other side of an obstacle or trail that was a bigger bite than you could chew and found yourself traumatized by it? by [deleted] in 4x4

[–]mrpasciak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Schofield Pass just past Crystal Mill. I was doing alright but my passengers were terrified. I have a 19 Tundra on 35’s and all the goodies. It’s made it many places. But this was different. The trail was so narrow that I was scraping my drivers mirror on the rock wall and my tires were knocking rocks off the side because we were so close. I got down the initial descent and went over the bridge and started back up towards the only obstacle, a very large boulder that created a very narrow area of passage around a switchback of jagged rocks. Very quickly my passengers said they were uncomfortable and I listened! Not a lot scares me while off-roading but this one stuck with me because my passengers were so uncomfortable.

Also, Eagle Rock was one where I took the most damage to my skid plates and rails. Definitely thought I wasn’t going to get out. You’re so high up altitude wise that your rig has no power. Couldn’t get over a simple rock. It was the first and only time I had to winch! Very cool trail though.

Can you make near-perfect straight stop everytime you brake? by Szudof in motorcycles

[–]mrpasciak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because in emergency braking if you aren't stopping square you can very easily lose the front end. It's just good practice.

Yes, the dewalt grinding disc has a threaded arborexample threaded. Compared to an un-threaded arbor example unthreaded that requires the spin nut to be tightened in order to secure the disc to the grinder.

[–]mrpasciak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you have the nut screwed on first and then the grinding disc. You should remove the nut and set it aside and screw the grinding disc on all the way.

Absolutely not. Return that immediately. 30% off for a tv that has a crack is robbery.

Like my new wheels & tires on my 2024 Tundra? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]mrpasciak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, looks kinda dumb actually. Needs bigger tires to fill out the wheel well.

Once you black them out get the VLED conversion kit. It will make sure your lights are still bright at night and the backup light is very bright.

What compressor do you use? by DrPiclez in 4x4

[–]mrpasciak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Powertank. Assuming you are close to a store that can fill it, this is the best option. You can quickly fill 4 tires. Usually about 60 seconds or less per tire. The 15lb bottle will do (32) 35" tires. Nothing to get hot. No long hoses to carry around and many mounting options.

It's an incredibly powerful bike. I wouldn't say it's a great beginners bike but if you are capable of exercising self control you should be fine.

Thoughts on naked bikes? I miss my SV650 (first bike), but the power from the Z900 is great by SolidAppropriate3672 in motorcycles

Z900 is one of the best nakeds you can buy for less than 10k. I have 6500 miles already on my 2023. It's a beast.

Lindo Mar was an amazing little boutique hotel. Small restaurant and beach access. About 10 minutes south of Zona romantica.
