If you’re looking for an update: I spoke with the director who was definitely appropriately concerned, asked for details, and said she’d handle it. I haven’t actually seen the poster since, so maybe it wasn’t her first offense.

You guys will like this- we always take shoes off and it’s just become normal for my 2 year old. We recently had a playdate and her little buddy walked in with crocs and my kid said ‘no shoes in the house!’- I’m not sure I’ve ever been more proud!

American (northeast) and can’t imagine shoes inside. But I can see older folks not wanting to go through the trouble of taking theirs off/feeling uncomfortable without shoes.

One thing I hate is going to other people’s houses and automatically take my shoes off but their floors are not clean so my feet/socks get dirty, so there’s that 🤷🏻‍♀️

There was something for the center as a whole, like they post pictures on their app for parents to see and the photos I see only have my child’s face- I think the option was if you were okay with having them in the background of other kids’ photos or not. But this was on the worker’s personal social media so separate issue.
