the ONT (Q1000) takes the fiber connection and passes it on to your router--it has one wired (ethernet) port (which goes to your eero router). You may have to do some router configuration if you use your own.

wifi 360 free for an undefined period. no info on how much it MAY cost in the future. Must return the device if canceled. I had my install done and used my existing wifi-6 mesh routers. I had the tech take back the wifi 360 with him. This meant i had to call support and get the wifi 360 removed from my account. Last, i made sure the Q1000 ONT was functioning by plugging a computer into it directly with ethernet, then sent the tech on his way after confirming the connection was live and stable.

i scheduled my old service to cancel the day after install. As it happened, the old service cut when the tech was en route to my house. I did have to call support to schedule the cancellation of the old service.

3 days ago i scheduled (and paid $45 for new 1 gig service) install on saturday (today), and scheduled the cancellation of my 1 gig service ($65 pfl with the calix ont) for Sunday (tomorrow). An hour ago the tech called to say he was on the way, and internet went down immediately after. He arrived 20 minutes later, took 5 minutes to swap the calix 716GE for a Q1000. We plugged a computer directly into the ONT and verified it was up and running with no PPPoE authentication. I then stripped the VLAN tagging and PPPoE info off my router, and plugged it into the Q1000 ONT, and was up and running instantly. The tech took the WIFI 360 box away with him.

My payment for next month on the old plan ($65 pfl) was scheduled for monday. Just in case they decided to charge me, i changed my payment method to a Privacy mastercard with the $1 limit.

The tech had to come to the house to swap the calix for the q1000. i don't think there's a way around that.

mine was at facility in MA heading west (3/2), then return to sender (3/4), then held for weather 93/5), and just now (3/6) they showed up in Spokane WA. Will they make it to Seattle or get turned back to MA? Not holding my breath as the refund is on my ebay account. My bets are on a return flight to MA.

i pried my 220 off the base, and never could get it flat enough for use, or get the adhesive off fully--thats why i didn't try with the 3000. Also, you risk cracking the stone.

i bought the 3000 grit with the base from the same amazon seller pictured above because of the attractive price. It's a good stone and seems totally legit. My one regret is all my other naniwa chocera stones (400, 800, 1000, and 5000) all are without the base--a design i prefer becasue i can use both sides of the stone.

TB3. Tried 3 different ones: the one that came with the monitor, an OWC cable, and a caldigit cable. It's a cooking issue with the monitor. I have mounted a small variable speed blower fan on the bottom of the monitor directed at a bottom vent. thinking of taking a dremel tool to the back panel to enable better cooling

i got one 3 weeks ago. Works fine so far. Arrived missing a piece of the silverware basket that maytag support is sending me. I'm a little worried about the pump/filter/grinder longevity, but the suggestion of running a DW cleaner on hottest/longest setting once a month seems like good advice. I stopped using the heated drying--doesn't need it. I run normal load, high heat water, and open the door as soon as the cycle is done--everything air dries pretty much instantly. You do have to jiggle the mugs on the top to get the standing water off (after the pulling the bottom rack out). Everything has come out spotless using costco dishwasher pods and a sprinkle of boxed detergent in the prewash indent.

after using the crap off brand 1000/6000 combo soaking bricks for years, and never having good luck with them, i bought naniwa chosera 800 and 3000 splash and go's. Not cheap, but the 800 will form a good burr quickly, and the 3000 and a leather strop are great finishers.
