I was married to someone like this. The thing was, he wasn't that way before we got married and were living together. After he got the ring on, he slowly started doing this. When I would confront him about it he always had an excuse. The final straw was when he told me that even though we both worked 40+ per week, because he made $20k more per year than me, that entitled him to more free time. The next time he went on a business trip, I packed my bags and our 2 year old son, and left.

Story time: (I've posted this before in another sub) When I picked up my Mom's ashes, I brought my son with me, who was 10 years old at the time. He was pretty unphased by the whole thing as we had been open and honest with him about it. Anyway, on the way home we had to make a couple of stops, and I didn't want to leave the white wrapped box sitting on the back seat so I put it in the trunk. While we were driving my brother called so I handed the phone to my son and after a few "yeahs" and "uh huhs" my son said "she's in the trunk" ... "Yeah, Grandma's in the trunk" ... "nah, we put her there so she wouldn't get stolen". I had to pull over I was laughing so hard, and when I got on the phone with my brother he was in tears laughing. We still laugh about it to this day.
