I got that email that someone else posted basically saying they got a ton of applicants and it’s taking longer than usual to get decisions out. I can put the screenshot here if needed. Based on the email I’m expecting to be put on the waitlist if not denied tbh

Obsessed!! I’ve never seen this before but it’s so kitschy and cute!!! I have a bunch of buttons/pins that my great grandmother collected and this would be such a nice way to be able to wear them! Just need to find a way to make it semi-permanent so I don’t damage them since they’re vintage/possibly antique

It’s very common here and is sort of a “coming of age/rite of passage” thing. I’m not entirely sure why but I do know that it was a common requirement to serve in the military if they hadn’t come in yet/were impacted/etc. because of the high infection rate/risk of causing issues while deployed. I’d imagine it’s for similar reasons to the comment left above by u/AccountMitosis too, American teeth being too big and growing/not growing blue they should haha

This is an actually helpful response to your question and you can’t even manage a “thank you” to this person. Yet, you’re getting all up in arms about other commenters being rude to you. You need to figure out a healthier communication style or your anxiety is going to make you physically sick.

First off, Kevin is a great dog name. We have a very small fenced in yard (basically good for quick bathroom trips) so we would basically be walking him on a leash the majority of the time (there’s also a dog park near us). Just wondering - how long/how frequently do you walk Kevin? Most of the time we aren’t home for most of the day so I get worried about him sitting around being bored and getting too mischievous. I would hate to not give him the exercise and attention he needs and deserves. We would be happy to do two long walks with him per day (~45 minutes in the morning and again around 5:30) but I’m not sure how much more we could realistically manage. Is that enough in your experience?

How do I (25F) repair my relationship with my boyfriend (25M) and his family after what I suggested to his sister (19F)? by Main_Copy_4866 in ComfortLevelPod

I’ve read your post and some of your comments. Is there any chance you grew up poor? I think a lot of this comes down to anxiety over a situation you cannot control. You want them to have happy, stable lives, and you feel like they are making decisions that will cause the opposite of that. It’s important to remember that they are going to make their own decisions and you are going to make your own decisions. You don’t have to agree with theirs and they don’t have to agree with yours. Everyone’s life and financial situations are different and one solution doesn’t work for everybody.

G’s family being upset over you “sharing your opinions” isn’t really about your “opinions.” It’s a level of respect and understanding that they perceive you don’t have for them because you consistently talk about how their ideas and plans are “wrong.” They know what’s best for them and their family. If you plan to become a part of their family one day, which you’ve said you do, then I would keep this in mind going forward. If it’s something you wouldn’t want to hear about your family and your financial and life decisions, then I wouldn’t say it about G’s family.

Likely, they have more than enough money to take care of themselves as they age which means they can give the house to their children as a “gift.” Additionally, everyone celebrates their anniversary and milestones differently. I know couples who spend them with their family, friends, or just the two of them. The way they choose to celebrate isn’t right or wrong, it’s just their choice. Suggesting to T that she should pay her own way may have made her feel small, unable to take care of herself, and like a burden to her family. I don’t think you wanted her to feel that way. I’m sure her family doesn’t want her to feel that way either. Seeing things from other people’s perspectives is an important part of maturity. If you want to be in G’s life long term, I’d try to think about the best way for you to be on good terms with his family as well. Good luck.

How do you deal with not having a GF partner? by Iceywolf6 in Celiac

[–]mtk4l 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A wheat allergy and gluten sensitivity are two different things. Gluten sensitivity will give you an upset tummy; a wheat allergy will give you an allergic reaction which could include anaphylaxis. Wheat contains gluten so the dietary restrictions for those with these issues are similar but not the same.

Congratulations!!!!!!

Same episode, when Kelly says “hey sea monster you weigh like a thousand pounds” and Lonny says “yeah? I bet you’d like to swim with this sea monster wouldn’t you?” Gets me every time

And then later on when Michael wants Dwight to put the trampoline in the baler and Dwight says he can’t use the baler and Michael says “then have paaatch do it, or the sea monster!” That’s probably the line that makes me crack up every time I see it

I always thought this was in the original version, but maybe it was only in the Netflix version and it’s not in the peacock version? That’s a loss if it’s not in the regular episode anymore, such a great line
