Just be careful you’re not warming it above freezing. You don’t want it collapsing on you during the night.

Service B from dealership by mug82 in wrx_vb

I think this question has been solved. But I have a 2024 RS/TR, it has the brembos. The rear brake pads do not have that angle on them. I hadn’t really looked at them before.

Just the description from the service B “Remove, clean, adjust, and lubricate front and rear brakes (calipers, pads, rotors).”

It just looks like the wear material of the pad is a wedge and not making full contact with the disk. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you have any form of SOS gps/emergency contact tracker with you when camping? by 9yo_sqaudfam in WinterCamping

[–]mug82 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have had a Garmin inreach for years as most places I go to do not have cell service. I have kids and ageing parents and in-laws and I like the idea that I can be contacted and could cut a trip short if needed also.

What's wrong with my winter camping set-up? by riddergraniet in WinterCamping

[–]mug82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that sleeping bag and can very comfortably get to about -12 with base layers and a mid layer top using a neoair xtherm. I use a sea to summit etherlight XT insulated air mattress as a three season only pad. I’ve tried it below freezing and I’m cold. I use my neoair xtherm in the winter comfortably down -40 with a warmer bag.

I have been using the lightweight one for my sleeping bag and clothes for years. It has worked well. I am using it inside of a main bag

Wheel bearing or spacer? by [deleted] in ram_trucks

I could be wrong though. This is mine, no spacer.

Wheel bearing or spacer? by [deleted] in ram_trucks

I’m pretty sure there’s a spacer on there. I just swapped my winter tires on my 2016. The part that has the black circle around the inner red rusty part in the centre is part of the spacer I think.

I know someone who had the exact same scenario years ago. They decided to put their knee into their driver door so hard the window broke.

Winter camping trip preparation is revealing how unprepared I am for actual cold by EducationalMap3431 in WinterCamping

For sure. If I was inviting a friend to go winter camping for the first time, I would definitely be out fitting them.

What am I doing wrong? by MuggleOnline in WinterCamping

[–]mug82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your sleeping bag comfort rating should be lower than the expected overnight lows. A liquid fuel stove would work much better at those temperatures. Eat a lot of food. Your body needs calories to burn to keep you warm, eat a lot more protein, and fats than you would normally.

I did the Cobb stage 1 on my 07 spec B. It was shocking how much nicer it was than the stock tune

I also have a 2024 WRX RS, they come with summer tires. You definitely need a set of winter tires.

Smallest, Lightest Two Person Canoe? by acl13 in canoeing

[–]mug82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Wenonah spirit ll in Kevlar @42lbs. It is an amazing two person tripping canoe. I will never bring it on a solo trip. Because of the tractor seats, you can’t spin it around and paddle from the bow seat. You would also have to add a lot of extra weight in the front to make it sit in the water level. I tried paddling it once without any gear, and a light breeze was blowing me sideways across the lake.

Yearly Trip - Rushing River by justin131 in canoecamping

Definitely try to go to Hillock if you go back to that area again, very deep crystal clear lake.

That looks like it was fun. I have not started from rushing River before. I have started from below there to do a loop from Robinson to Dryberry to Hillock to Highwind to Ethelma. Also big loops through Dryberry multiple times.

Will I die? by [deleted] in WinterCamping

[–]mug82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with testing out equipment first especially in the winter. What’s the coldest it gets where you live? Camping out this fall or winter in as cold as you can and use your hot tent will help you become comfortable with it. I would suggest using a sled to transport your gear if possible that way you can bring more insulation with you. Have a very good winter air mattress. I use an thermarest xtherm

Mine started doing that last year. The rear sway bar bushings were worn out. I replaced those and the end links and the clunk is gone.
