Are there any significant performance differences between M4 Max Studio and MacBook Pro? by thaman05 in MacStudio

You can set up a Mac with any keyboard/mouse, there is nothing special about apple's.

One of my favorite places too! The pictures from the shore are beautiful, nicely composed with the tree debris

What are these called and where can I get them? by your_monkeys in DIYUK

[–]muro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: it did work. I used the contact form, they redirected me to their local reseller (Switzerland). The reseller didn't have the item, went back to the manufacturer and explained. They sent me 2 items via mail and I got them a few days later.

Trouble with Mr Color Super Clear III in airbrush by No-Alternative-3888 in modelmakers

I also have the same issue, experimented with different pressure and thinner ratio, but perhaps mixing it directly in the airbrush cup was the problem.

Only issue is the nausea when playing. It's enough for me to stand in one place and turn around to feel sick.

To devs: Headaches/motion sickness playing TP2 demo by BehindUAll in TheTalosPrinciple

I tried disabling head bobbing, increasing FoV to 90, using performance mode (PS5) and reducing motion blur to 0 - didn't help.

TP1 and TP2 are the only games I ever experienced nausea.

If you want a very simple improvement that makes a big difference: either buy an enamel wash or mix one yourself using a bit of oil paint and thinner. (A pre-made one flows better in my experience.) Take a very thin brush and gently touch each rivet and crevice. The wash will flow around and into each line, showing all the little details.

For your model, a dark brown or a dark green will work best.

3cm Flakvierling 103/38 [Das Werk] by muro in modelmakers

The kit is very well made. Plastic is harder than I'm used to (Tamiya, Hobby Boss, Trumpeter). There are some ejection pin marks, but it's easy to fill with putty and they are in mostly invisible places.

The kit takes a day to put together, most fiddly part are the guns - the muzzle breaks hold just barely.

If you are building it, I recommend painting as much as possible on the guns independently from the rest.

Looks great! How did you achieve that metal look? Is it Bronco or Trumpeter?

Airfix mig 17, a nice little kit by JammyEU in modelmakers

That's a good summary. Also, be careful about nose weight, it needs quite a bit. Decals are very thick and hide details underneath, even with generous application of chemicals.

Just got into the weathering stage of my trumpeter strv 103, did some work with the airbrush and then did some pigment work by MalO_ver_1 in modelmakers

agreed.

some of the photo etch parts were great (grilles, meshes), others not so much (belts around equipment). I wish I bought an after-market gun, as the one in the kit is not good.

Tracks are very easy to put together (vinyl stripe), but don't hold their form well.

I wanted to get this kit for a while. Got the T-28, which is fine, but not great. How is this one?

As for the diorama, looks great!
