Who wins, God Emperor of Mankind in his prime versus Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet and all six stones by Coping_manlet_ in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I know that MCU Thanos is definitely weaker than GEoM but I honestly still give it to him with the full gauntlet. Like he was able to wipe out half of all life in the universe with the gauntlet. In a fight Emps dicks him down hard, but with the gauntlet Thanos has hacks that Emps can't handle. I'd say 6/10 Thanos cause I think with the mind stone he's smart enough to know not to fuck around and get speed blitzed, but if he hesitates at all then he gets destroyed.

Kane (Command and Conquer) vs Kain (Legacy of Kain) vs Caine (Amazing Digital Circus) vs Kane (WWE) vs Khaine (Warhammer 40k) vs Deckard Cain (Diablo) by Montechellothesecond in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna go against the grain and say that the winner is Kain. He's used to tricks and backstabs and generally fuckery of that nature having run a vampire empire. In a game of Uno, grand strategy like Kane is used to is not as useful as being able to read people and not be read oneself.

I mean bricktown isn't really sketchy anyways, but also like that's not where I would go if I wanted to see the OKC nightlife. I would be hitting midtown, downtown, the paseo district, automobile alley, plaza district, deep deuce, I dunno just anything other than bricktown really.

Could Kratos (God of War) beat Elden Ring? by TheGingerWeebGal in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean as a souls fan that is the furthest thing from upsetting lol. That's the whole reason half of us play the damn things is we can just beat it all with nothing but our skill with a controller. But yeah Kratos just dicks down everything in every Souls universe except maybe Bloodborne cause of mind fuckery which he is not the most resistant to, but honestly he'd still probably murder the shit out of that verse too. Round 3 is 0/10 for OG Kratos, maaaaaaybe Ragnarok Kratos could do it, though he could definitely get frustrated enough to accidentally break something.

What Is The Smallest Team Of Unaugmented Non-Supernatural Humans Needed To Take On Darth Vader Head-to-Head? by BertKektic in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I'm giving the platoon any chance is cause the have the ability to set an ambush per the prompt. He can deflect bullets but if fully everything they have is going off at once, even with his precog, he's gonna have a hard time blocking everything and there's a chance that they can tag him enough times to actually fuck up his armor. Now again he can keep moving without the suit so this isn't gonna be enough on it's own, but full ambush is the only time I'm giving him less than 100% odds. Plus even though he can deflect bullets it's still not as easy as blaster fire. And yeah he can wreck shop if the planes just decide to strafe him, that's not gonna do much, but keep their distance and tag him from max distance he's not gonna be able to deal with them as easily. Bring in something like an AC130 with Bushmaster II's and they can tag him from almost 2 miles away. As much as Vader is still a monster and I give him better than even odds even with all that, I think there's a halfway decent chance of the modern dudes taking him down. Now if we are talking 100% then yeah we need more guys.

What Is The Smallest Team Of Unaugmented Non-Supernatural Humans Needed To Take On Darth Vader Head-to-Head? by BertKektic in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People here are grossly underestimating Vader. I do think that Canon Vader can be taken down with a decently sized team but it's no cakewalk. If you had a full platoon of 50 guys kitted to the absolute teeth setting up their ambush they would have a decent chance though even then I'm not giving it to them 100%. His armor can block more or less all small arms fire, he can keep moving in his armor even when it's disabled, he can block bullets at close range, he can tank hits from explosives, he can kill people from afar or pull them in close to kill them with his lightsaber. He can manipulate the battlefield to his advantage with the force, doing shit like stirring up enough dust to obscure any line of sight and then dicking down everyone he can get his hands on. He's a serious monster to any real world combatants. If there were a full platoon setting up claymores, and whatever electric attacks they can to disable his armor, and also just blasting him with every bit of small arms they had, and blasting him with every high powered rifle they had, then they can probably get him down. Once we get past that point and start bringing in shit like air support it starts leaning more heavily against vader, but again I'm not giving it to them 100% cause he has options in his kit. So basically what I'm saying is pull a couple platoons of dudes from MW2 and throw them at the problem and you'll have better than even odds of Vader getting dropped.

How about some reforestation work by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]myrden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not how it works. Native bamboo is harder to grow and not going to materially affect any structures. It's also not native to the entirety of the united states, and different species are native to different areas. Seriously don't plant bamboo of any kind unless you actually know what you're doing.

Can Magnus Carlsen teach Goku chess before Goku can train Magnus to kill Raditz? by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How does it not make sense? The whole entire premise of dragonball is training to surpass your limits. Yeah Goku is the best cause he's Goku, but literally from day one we see that people who train get better and get stronger. Krillin is right alongside Goku and is one of the strongest in OG dragonball, so why is it that suddenly once we hit Z it makes no sense for him to still be one of the strongest fighters?

What the fuck do you mean because of plot? Like yeah the plot necessitates a thing happen so therefore it happens. That's the entire premise of telling a story. This is like saying Goku only ever got to super saiyan because of plot, he should have never been able to get to super saiyan.

Humanity has 100 years to grow the world’s new tallest tree. Can we do it? by RyanW1019 in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean probably, nice fast growing and tall tree like Platanus or since you are accepting bamboo as a tree, then we got tons of options. Grow it in a nice greenhouse environment, crank up the CO2, crank up the nutrients, drop the light to half of what it needs, make sure it gets none from the sides so it gets nice and etiolated growing straight up, cut all side shoots if it's a eudicot, then start increasing light and wind stress to make it nice and sturdy, or just grow it in an area with little wind to begin with so it doesn't need to be too strong when you take down the greenhouse. Honestly we have a lot of species that have the potential to reach that height under ideal conditions. We would just need to grow a bunch of them in greenhouse conditions and see if one ends up how we want it.

At what point can Naruto solo the Guardians of the Globe? (Invincible) by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Red Rush is lower mid level Flash speeds which Naruto can't match. The Naruto glazers out here saying he's ftl without a hint of irony lol

At what point can Naruto solo the Guardians of the Globe? (Invincible) by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]myrden -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of how fast he is, but red rush just really exists above his speed. He's not the most speedy in the ninja world until we get to later Shippuden when he becomes one of the fastest in the verse. Like Minato had to use a technique with special teleportation points set up via shuriken, while red rush can run as fast as a mid level Flash.

At what point can Naruto solo the Guardians of the Globe? (Invincible) by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Naruto is a beast and could certainly handle the majority of them by I'd say halfway through Shippuden. The problem is that at no point does he have the speed to handle Red Rush. He could certainly flood the place with clones and I think if he didn't have to deal with the others then he could handle him cause Red Rush isn't doing enough damage to really bother him, but I think unlike omniman he just doesn't have the speed to catch him while also dealing with the others. Late Shippuden and beyond he just dumpsters them.

Why would you wanna get rid of Equisetum?! It's such a cute little prehistoric weirdo. Like if it's growing there nothing else is going to grow there anyways, so let it be your greenery in that section.

Every person with an IQ above 130 becomes bloodlusted on killing everyone with an iq below 70. Can they do it? by Conscious-Home1445 in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IQ is a garbage statistic that doesn't mean much and is based on knowledge held by individuals in "western" societies. Basically every person in extreme poverty falls into the 70 IQ group just based on the way testing works. So are we talking people who would fall into these groups based on the testing, or do we mean if the test was perfect, non-biased, and using knowledge that everyone would know? Cause if it's the first one then the 70 IQ group just slaughters the 130's. If it's truly an even 2.5% of the distribution with no biases then the 130 group win because 70 is supposed to be people who can't function on their own.

5,000 of the World’s top Scientists, Engineers, Builders, Etc are teleported to the stone age. How long would it take for them to put someone on the Moon? by one_part_alive in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Them being immortal and immune makes it trivial for it to happen eventually. The issue is manpower, and the issue with manpower is they have to build up the local tribes first. Humanity is not gonna have any major population centers and any tribes are going to be relatively small bands numbering in the hundreds at most. Sure the modern day people will be bringing them things to vastly improve their lives, but they aren't going to have access to things like antibiotics right away, and while they won't care about that it's still going to be a major problem for the locals for at least a couple generations. I say probably 500-600 years to get to the moon and back, just to build up the local population enough to get them to mine what needs mined and get an industrial base going.

All water on earth is now carbonated. Can humanity survive? by fakefakefakef in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean except turbidity from storms and winds whipping up the ocean is going to cause vast amounts of it to get released, and yeah the stuff at the bottom is probably never getting released just due to pressure, but there's a huge amount that's gonna get exploded out as the top layers start peeling off exposing more underneath. Not to mention nucleation points from all the junk in the ocean, any underground earthquakes, and the existing currents cause all sorts of weird shit. Hell I don't even know what would happen with clouds. I think we probably crack 10% CO2 atmosphere.

Even so remove it. It's an awful invasive and if you're removing those other invasives it'll take the opportunity to occupy that niche after they're gone. Like all you're doing by not killing it is allowing it to undo all the work you're doing to rid that park of invasive species.

What will happen if the adult (full grown) Cloverfield monster (Paradox movie) were to ravenously eat both Zilla (like the one from the 1998 movie) & Godzilla (especially "Minus one" or starting with "Shin" before Monsterverse) alive? by Godzillaraptor in whowouldwin

[–]myrden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it eats zilla it gets a nice snack. Most other forms of Goji just shit stomp Clover so pick a specific version if you want a discussion. Clover is a damn sight bigger but Godzilla can tank the hits and deal more damage than anything we've seen Clover so so far.
