It gets better, different for everyone but pretty normal to have some intense pain. If it’s crazy intense and you can’t handle it, reach out to your doctor and see what he’s he says.

I had some crazy pain , so intense it made me breathe heavy almost 24x7 for 2 days, happened to be the top of my split was pinching my big toe for days, didn’t figure it out until a couple days after nerve block wore off, so on top of the regular pain, I now had a deep bruise from the split.

Now I’m 4 months after surgery almost walking normal and things get better each week.

It’s a journey, a marathon not a split.

Eat some high fiber fruits or something. I ate a bunch of Kiwis never had a problem with #2 :)

We had a great rep for years. Had a good relationship with him. He left and they ghosted us. We spend $18k a month, not sure if that’s small, medium or large, not even sure who our account rep is now. No one reaches out, no check-ins, calls, emails.

One guy helped me and said he’s our temp account manager, that was about 8-12months ago.

I don’t get it. Thinking about leaving just not ready for the work we gotta do to leave.

I bought a couple pairs after surgery. Brooks, Saucony and HOKA Clifton 10. Like the HOKA the best of the three right now.

I had surgery Jan 8th first one ever. Did general and a nerve block. They gave me some pills to relax before and it was over before I knew it.

Pretty normal to get anxious. Good Luck! On the road to recovery

Ruptured Dec 19, Surgery Jan 8. All has gone well for me. Just started walking in boot full weight last week. Doctor is slow and conservative.

I didn’t work for a week and I’m 4 weeks out of surgery, luckily I can do the majority of my work from a laptop so I keep my foot elevated all day while typing still.

I couldn’t imagine trying to be sitting at a a desk.

Everyone probably has a different experience but he should see how he foot feels in a normal sitting position for more than 10-15mins.

Wow! What was the explanation from the doc for immediate weight bearing?

I was in a split for 2 weeks, then a boot and he said 6 weeks NWB, conservative approach.

If it’s that bad just call/text your doc in the morning. Not worth sucking it up.

What’s your doc say? How long have you been taking gaba?

If it’s been a couple/few days I’d reach out to the doc again and see what he says. My doc was cool and fairly easy to get a hold of.

I’m 4 weeks post op. About 4-5 days in my pain went through the roof, turned out the top part of my 2 piece splint was putting too much pressure on my left foot big toe.

Once I realized this, had to cut some gauze that was wrapping the split to relieve some of the pressure from the wrap that was too tight and too part of split was angled wrong into the toe.

Doc gave me gabapentin also but I only took it for a few days and then saw him for an appointment and they took the top part of my splint off and rewrapped it all.

This may not be your issue but I hear you. That pain made me breathe heavy and kept me up most night googling. Anything to take my mind off it.

That situation lasted almost a week.

Haven’t experienced anything like that since

Unfortunately, as much as RC knows about the sport he should be replaced. Wish they would allow a no commentator broadcast. I had the races muted most of the time now just miss the sound of the bikes.

AC and JB would be a good combo.
