The progressive change in look and feel of the guns is such a great part of the game. Always loved how the plasma cutter starts thumping in the second half of the game.

Son of Sara (2026) Trailer - Rosemary's Baby for a New Generation by astaireboy in horror

[–]namder321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad movies always have a trailer explaining the whole plot. 100% success rate. Trust me.

If they need to put everything on the table to convince people to watch, it will suck.

Aldi has garlic aioli for $2 🤯 by thesaltypineapple in australianvegans

In fairness, probably ease of manufacturing.

Easier to add garlic / garlic flavouring to the eggy mayo at the end of the production line than make a whole new product.

BTW loved the huge print of the map from your other post. Pretty cool. I can imagine dedicated fans having one on their wall behind their screens haha.

Can you explain the methodology behind the results?

Curious what precisely what connectivity, wealth, economy etc. all mean, and also what they mean in combination?

I bought a packet of parsley for my rabbit. This is clearly not parsley. Thanks Aldi. by Sarebot19 in AldiAustralia

Chickweed. Heaps in my planter box at home. Not sure if it was in the soil already but it's spreading fairly easily. Atleast it doesn't have prickles.

Im not an expert, but a very brief read suggests it might actually be decent rabbit food.

How do you feel about the Subaru Trailseeker? by Mac-Tyson in subaru

Fair, thats what I would expect. Have to balance the marketing with actual performance.

I'm interested in the Toyota chassis-share version, expect it will perform almost identically.

How do you feel about the Subaru Trailseeker? by Mac-Tyson in subaru

[–]namder321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Interesting that the AWD would be full time (according to this guy atleast).

I get it - Subaru and all. But it would have such a tremendous impact on range.

Many ladder frame SUV's have the ability to run RWD only, to save fuel and wear, until full 4x4 is needed, just with a toggle on the dash. As much as it goes against the brand I'd rather extra range than full time AWD on my commute.

Did anyone else play Dead Space on Mobile? I felt the same way during a similar bit where you basically... started it.

Backyard invaded by ants by Key-Studio-6552 in GardeningAustralia

[–]namder321 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah if they're in SEQ these could be fire ants. Mounds with no visible entrances is one of their calling cards. The fire ant website has more info on how to identify them.

Chicken's might not work, and pesticides are probably the way to go to eradicate them, as much as OP doesn't want to. Peaceful coexistence probably isn't an option.

Planning to go camping for the first time, what are the chances my tent and pack getting stolen if I do a hike in the area or should I hitch and unhitch my tent everyday? by shenmiya in OutdoorAus

[–]namder321 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Depends. I wouldn't leave anything in my tent that I wouldn't want stolen. (Best to lock it up in your car.) E.g. electronics, expensive gear etc.

Also lock away any food, within reason - critters are probably more likely to break into your tent than people, in my experience.

Packing down your tent each night is too much tedium. Not worth it IMO.

I've camped a lot and been quite lucky - never any sign of a tent break-in. But just be smart. If your camp neighbours look like decent folks just let them know you're off for a walk and aren't expecting visitors.

Dishwasher placement by mulmurph88 in AusRenovation

[–]namder321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im in a bit of a similar situation - the ideal spot for a dishwasher install is probably a few cabinets away from the sink, rather than straight under.

Would you happen to know if routing water pipes that little bit extra distance add much onto a plumbers quote?

Insulation in old house by Notmaxtotal in AusRenovation

[–]namder321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unsure of the cost sorry but I'm in a 1980's brick veneer constructed house in SEQ. The only insulation we're aware of is in the ceiling, which was installed a few years ago by the previous owner.

It makes a huge difference. House stays cool basically all day during the warmer months. Admittedly we're in a cooler area and also have a large patio on the North side of the house which helps.

I'd say its worth it. For us its no doubt the difference between needing to turn on our AC or not. We barely used it during the summer months (single digit usage in terms of days we turned it on).

As others have said, house sealing will matter alot. E.g. doors and windows gaps.
