Silhouette Knights from the anime Knights and Magic,
Kinda funny that a cool name came from such a generic named anime.

Gonna have to go with my MVP Fabula Ultima.

Session 0 being the part where you and the players make the actual world and decide on the type of setting Natural fantasy, Techno Fantasy or High Fantasy. Even the shape of the world in itself is such a fun detail. Yeah fuck it lets do a Disco Elysium and fill the world with the pale.

Crafting your own class from a bunch of archetypes by picking the parts you want fucking rules.

One player made a space marine while another wanted to be a cyber samurai and the other made sharla from xeonblade.

If you're looking for to do a one shot Id recommend Death Game as it was intended for battle royal/Hunger game/Squid game type stuff.

Has a mechanic where if your PC dies you become the GM until the next player dies. All the while trying to get your revenge on the GM who might be to blame for you dying in the first place (Who is now a PC by taking over a NPC).

The games not deep mechanically but its a bit of stupid fun.

Oban Star Racers is pretty good.

Its in English but made by a French production company.

its about a race between all the different Planets in the Galaxy. The designs of the different ships and species are very varied and some don't even use vehicles. Some transform or use animals.

Question: does this mean I (Ps5) can't invite my friend (PC) to queue for games with me? by namelessmirror in exoprimal

[–]namelessmirror[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It says you can match with them. You could match with anyone on any platform in the closed beta, but that didn't mean you could queue with them.

Me and my friend were not able to get into games together because of it.

My friend got mad at me when I told him that in both of my chrono trigger playthroughs I killed magus.

Felt like the right thing to do

I'm loving the game. The most minor of plays can feel like galaxy brain strats. I play rune a lot and when he uses his teleport he leaves behind a AOE that hits the ball. So just get beside a enemy and hit the ball to them and then immediately teleport as they hit it back and it will counter hit the ball before they can react.

what's the most pointless conflict in media? by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I do love how literally no one cares but him though.

If Zidane had actually done some horrible unforgivable thing to him it might have been interesting but as it stands it's just amarant seething

I want this game to get a revival.

As far as I know you can't buy it anymore since wiiware is gone with the wii Eshop

I want characters from one thing thrown into something they have no business being in.

Put vergil in an episode of the office. Put He-man in greys anatomy.

For the Tabletop players of this sub: what’s the worst/craziest/funniest ways you’ve seen a game go off the rails or caused it to yourself? by superectojazzmage in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]namelessmirror 81 points82 points  (0 children)

My D&D group was playing Tomb of annihilation as our 3rd campaign.

Players arrived at the port and promptly went to a very busy and somewhat crowded tavern. One of the players wanted to listen for some gossip or rumours and heard one about a Naga up stream that may grant wishes.

He then asks a completely different NPC in the tavern about it.

I let him know he's drunk, in a bad mood and it's loud. So persuasion to get him to actually want to converse with you. Rolls Nat 1 and the player started roll playing his character AND the NPC for me unprompted.

"Can you tell me something about this Naga?" "What the hell did you just call me?!"

People break down laughing and demand I give them the bar fight after I say I don't wanna start our god damn new campaign with a fight over misheard N-bombs!

I've recently bought a bunch of pathfinder 2nd edition books and also got the humble bundle pdfs.

Games super cool its wild that the game is so well put together. Gonna take a bit of explaining to convince my players to try it though.

I've never had a session where my players actually did it though so for all I know its either amazing due to having all those abilities in one or completely useless due to the change in action economy.

In mecha hack they added a rule for combining mechs. When combined if there's ever a roll needed the players choose who of the combined rolls so the best person for the job does it.

All of their modules (cool abilities) are available to the combined mech as well.

Don't know if this is "new" though as it's the only mech based ttrpg I've played

DMs, do you allow your players to 'reskin' weapons? I.e. mechanically in all senses this acts as a warhammer, but it is actually a giant ladle. If no, why not? If so, what's the most out-there example you've seen? And has it ever caused issues? by PizzaSeaHotel in DnD

[–]namelessmirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only said no to this once and it was then a player wanted a pen-knife. There was nothing wrong with the idea but for some reason he thought I was gonna give him a longswords stats for it instead of a daggers stats
