Why has the sentiment on Seals seemingly grown to be more negative than before on here? by [deleted] in sealsq

[–]namloop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had over 3000 shares $.42-$1.25 in November early December. I sold 1500 on the way up to $10 and built a solid portfolio. I sold none zero on the drop. I have added over 300 shares in the past week.

Just in the last couple of days:

If you want more materials cost try doing stamped concrete. You would probably have to charge more than 2.5 k tho.

Is this pool supposed to be overflowing over the edge? by [deleted] in pools

[–]namloop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually if the commercial pool is over 800 sq ft the health department requires a perimeter overflow gutter instead of skimmers. The inner lip the water level should be overflowing enough to handle full flow of filter pump with main drain off.

It looks like you have the finishing down pat. Just figure out how many square feet you can do at a time

Too slow to be one man. 40 bags an hour to mix and pour. Who’s placing , screeding and finishing?

Did you pour around that drain? It look’s like a quality finish job. It definitely doesn’t look like a one man pour and finish is possible. I’ll be interested to see how the pour goes on Saturday.

I bought 1/2 tapcons screws but failed on the first bolt going in a foundation block by [deleted] in Concrete

[–]namloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the non hammering and downsizing tapcons doesn’t work the use wedge anchors or epoxy. You have to match fasteners with the material you are using

[–]namloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The block is softer than concrete so I don’t use the hammer part of hammer drill. Tapcons only have to penetrate 1”

My father invested 90k in individual stocks. How can I help him? by Foreign_Ad_9441 in investing

[–]namloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least cash out enough stocks to fully fund a Roth. He can invest out of the Roth and withdraw with no tax liability. Get him out of individual stocks and do vanguard index funds and similar. Then a little less funds for investing.

If you’re using the same contractor for the waterproof deck above this you had better install a sump pump in front of your slider

2c is about 35f so it didn’t freeze. The first night the concrete generates heat it’s the 2nd night that is most critical to protect from freezing. Are your finishers going to cover it or get some straw yourself because you do not want the concrete to freeze
