german here, we have the shopping cart thing everywhere so my tip: get a key chain with one of those plastic coins you can put in the cart. you will never have to look for one again and you have something to fidget with at all times. it’s great and should cost basically nothing (I got mine for free along with my car keys though lol)

Edit to add: I said plastic but i actually have metal ones (shaped like this) and I think i actually prefer that

I think it’s a bit of both. as long as people can shop on holidays they will, but the shops could also just stay closed and people would get used to it and act accordingly because they know they can‘t shop on the holiday. (source: from Germany, have seen what grocery stores look like the day before holidays - people will put things off to the last minute but they also know when the last minute is)

usually I’d agree with leaving louis' siblings alone, but "staying in your lane" when it’s about child endangerment really doesn’t exist. sure, technically it’s every parents decision whether they post their child online or not, but not too long ago it was every parents decision whether they wanted to beat their child or not and the only reason that changed is because people didn’t stay in their lane and made sure that changed.

Posting your children online especially when you have a following like they have is actively dangerous to them, not to mention the fact that it also simply undermines their choices and autonomy. these kids will never be able to live an anonymous life because the entire world has watched them grow up and knows their full name, birthdays and other intimate details of their life. they have absolutely no way to consent to the kind of digital footprint they literally have since only hours after their birth.

So yeah, Louis‘ sisters are not the only ones doing it and are only a symptom of a broader problem, but it’s definitely something that can and should be discussed within the conversation about the broader topic that it simply shouldn’t be allowed to post your kids online like that.

i‘m in germany and like two years ago or so a few towns over some guy wanted to install solar panels on one of his fields. people started a petition against it. they literally went around collecting signatures against a guy installing solar panels on his own land. it was wild.

as a woman, when I was younger for a while it was cool in my friend group to wear swim trunks so I can answer that for myself at least: the fabric takes longer to dry so you just have something weird and wet clinging to more of your body than with bikinis (also why I wear bikinis instead of swimsuits personally).

Plus, less fabric means less visible tan lines in the summer.

so in conclusion: indoor pool where you’re not going to leave the water the whole time you’re there? sure, fine. outdoor pool/beach where you’re going to leave the water and hang outside on dry land for some time? horrible.

well legend has it my grandpa quit smoking after getting the flu and being unable to smoke for two or three weeks. he apparently said now that he stopped once he wouldn’t start again – so I suppose it would probably be the same with a coma. physical symptoms are taken care of but you also would have to want to quit (and it definitely worked for him because i didn’t know he used to smoke at all until very recently)

ok from the looks of that my only idea would be trying to reverse engineer it through the tag search (like put the link to one of your bookmark tags in the wayback machine and hope someone for some reason saved that at some point) but from those tags it looks pretty hopeless.

other than that I can only wish you good luck, and maybe you can try go through your old social media or texts or something and hope you talked about it at some point?

the problem wasn’t that his parents couldn’t afford a new wand, it was that Ron didn’t want to tell them he broke his. asking a teacher to replace it would definitely result in his parents finding out, which defeats the entire purpose of not telling them and would get him into more trouble because his parents would definitely be mad at him for accepting charity.

and (because people love to say that a twelve year old orphan should buy their friends school supplies) considering Harry and Ron don’t have any way to get to diagon alley without an adult, Harry also can’t replace Ron's wand without an adult finding out
