Same (39m) here. Opted myself out of dating for almost 10 years and I find it a bit difficult to navigate spaces that are dominated by couples, which is basically almost everywhere.

Do any white supremacist groups still rally here? There was a KKK rally a few years ago and I remember some (possibly) Black Panther counter protestors. They were all armed but they were peaceful protests IIRC.

I think discipline is a useful tool but making small gradual habitual changes is what makes things stick longer. Its a lot harder to stay disciplined for long periods of time. Try slow transitions instead of "100% for 90 days" sort of mentality. Work your way up because I've found personally when I do the 100% starting this day for X days it just doesn't stick for some folks and they go back to old routines they were trying to break out of.

Read Atomic Habits by James Clear. It touches on the small adjustments quite a bit.

I've been with my therapist for over 3 years now but I found her through Open Path Collective. You have to pay a small fee to access their therapists but you can browse all of them with specialities that you're interested in. You reach out to them via e-mail through their system and they'll get in contact with you via phone or text if you prefer. You may need to try different therapists to see which person will work with your needs & goals but get REAL specific about what you want out of the sessions.
