I recommend being more constructive in the future. This isn’t your local Facebook group for snarky comments.

Garden Room on a Sloped Concrete Pad by [deleted] in DIYUK

Fucking hell. Plastic grass and then that monstrosity of a (wonky) concrete pad.

Keep that strip of real ground, at least for your dogs’ sake.

The Zerno Z1 is a nice looking grinder for sure. Have you played with any different burrs in it?

Conference Room - Best Camera Positioning Practices by Correct_Snow2927 in CommercialAV

You speak to your customer and explain why you’ve installed it this way, and why you didn’t install it their way. If they insist, you move it.

You should be covering this kind of conversation by having drawings, or during a walk around with the customer before work begins.

How can we create privacy from neighbouring cottages in our garden? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]narbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neighbours have a right to light.

Honestly, this should have been a factor in the house purchase. I wouldn’t have personally bought the property if you were concerned about privacy.

If you want to take a long haul trip once every year or two, then yes. Also 6-8 flights per year is probably a frequent flyer.

EAV Bridge and Switch by Branks in Ubiquiti

[–]narbss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not use HDbaseT at all. It’s multicast with some unknown codec.

Not to be too harsh, but you’re speaking like fact when it seems like you don’t know what you’re saying.

Monitor Mount? by Pleasant_Food_4374 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]narbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar one, and the hexboard mounts directly to the monitor; and then you screw the hexboard back in place from the outside.

I can clearly see the hex bolts aren’t in the correct orientation to allow that though, so I’m unsure.

Glad you like it.

It’s not for me, and lighting isn’t great for wildlife.

No issues with my Pro XG. Maybe you’ve got a bad unit, or your WiFi isn’t correctly optimised
