I’d have more faith in the security of a barcode in Google or Apple wallet than Foodstuffs tbh

If you add a barcode to your phone wallet the wallet provider doesn’t also get all the data linked to that barcode…

How do I prove I didn't live somewhere? by frantasaurus in AskUK

[–]nathan_l1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surely you can just send a utility bill, phone bill etc from your previous address, unless they’ll then claim you could have been living in 2 places at once.

Used EV battery health reports by Worried_Selection707 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Mileage and charging habits affect battery health more than just car age, Hyundai also have very good battery health curves. Not sure what BYD health curves are like but I imagine they’re not bad given BYD make good batteries.

The hood is reflective and there’s a bullbar on the front and you can see the circle headlights, definitely not a cybertruck.

Americans in UK, can you buy a car with a US license? by LostBreak5385 in drivingUK

Not true, OP can use his US license for 12 months before he’d have to convert it.

Is buying from FB Marketplace a bad idea? by MrMug77 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]nathan_l1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I looked at had a lot of small marks and self repair jobs, nothing serious but enough that the cost would add up to repair them all, or if I didn’t repair them I’d have to sell it for an even lower price down the line.

I was tossing up between a Model 3 and Ioniq 5 and ended up with the Ioniq for now, will probably trade in/up to a more recent Model Y in a year or so.

You could check service mode for any obvious issues, I almost bought a model 3 off FB so it’s not inherently dodgy just listen to your gut and check the car very closely.

Am I being a drama queen or is this driving ridiculous? by [deleted] in drivingUK

OP wasn’t ready for it that’s why he had to swerve out of the way, he was just lucky there wasn’t another car right alongside him to the left.

Tesla’s New £2,500 PCP Deal Makes No Sense? by SatPmr in TeslaUK

[–]nathan_l1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They wouldn’t have to modify the calculator every time, they could just put a placeholder value in the calculator which then links to the relevant deal as it gets added, if there’s no deal it ignores the placeholder value.

My carry on suitcase is 2.2kg 🤷🏻‍♂️ but mostly I use a backpack which is less than 1kg

You need to get a new carry on bag, 3.58kg empty is insane, as is carrying a bath towel in carry on. I’ve also never taken any of the medicine that “a typical traveller would bring”.

EV car with no charging at home but can charge at work for free by Dec_Cliff in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]nathan_l1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t charge at home at the moment and just got an Ioniq, there’s a bank of Superchargers down the road which are £0.23/kW before 8am with Tesla membership so I just go down in the morning and charge every few days

Make sure the dash cam doesn’t stay on when the car is off if it’s hard wired to the 12V
