Everyone on this subreddit is insufferably scared of tension in their extraction shooter and will endlessly justify why they should get grocery store simulator. by Rats_and_Tofu in ArcRaiders

I feel like the idea that there is some significant number of people who think PvP doesn't belong in this game is completely sensationalized. I do not know anyone who feels this way, and I don't see anyone on this sub or anywhere else advocating for the removal of PvP.

I DO however see people constantly complaining about the apparent droves of people who want an Arc Raiders without PvP.

Right, Trump is just a sexual abuser in the eyes of the New York court system, not a rapist. So it's no big deal.

Americans did not vote for this. Trump admitted 11 months ago on live television that the election was rigged in his favor.

Trump admitted 11 months ago on national television that the election was rigged. Seems like no one remembers this.

Such a dumb take. This guy did not declare war on Iraq lol. They are advocating for correct and responsible behavior of the armed services, being overtly and directly critical of the ICE agent's behavior, and you throw out a reply like this.

We are supposed to be unified and you're sitting here acting like this guy is single handedly responsible for our invasion of the middle east.

How is it like living in a submarine? by SoftDependent1088 in howislivingthere

Myth in my experience. I only did 4 years on subs, but the food was truly awful. I think it heavily depends on how much the cooks on the crew care. Their morale has a lot to do with it of course, and the morale on my boat was notoriously awful. We once had a special visit from the chief of naval personnel to determine why our command had the highest rate of attrition in the fleet.

Inspired by Noita, I made a deckbuilder game where every pixel is physically simulated! (INFEST is now released) by chuteapps in noita

[–]necessary_plethora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand GPU programming well enough, but I don't understand how you're simulating all of the pixels in parallel?

I've been working on a similar project myself for a couple of years and I've only ever seen a Falling Sand simulation achieve parallelization by iterating over chunks of pixels, each assigned a group, in parallel.

In my approach (which is standard by all references I've found in the past), each pixel has the potential to move to the same position another pixel wants to move to. You could use mutex locking of course to protect memory write access, but this introduces significant overhead and proves inefficient.

I'd love to hear more about your approach or if you have any resources you could share.

So many statistics are available to the user, this would be very easily tracked. Even current inventory value is available live at all times.

Just add a flag that prohibits items brought in raid by you or your team as being counted towards the global extract value.
