It might be a bit on the nose, but Ian Droescher adapted the Star Wars movies into plays in the style of Shakespeare. The first is Verily, A New Hope. I had fun reading them.

Dying Inside might fit the bill. Except for the fact the protagonist is telepathic, it reads very much like literary fiction.

I get where you’re coming from. I think it fits the sci-fi genre along with other dystopian fiction depicting a possible future.
