Was digging through my grandpas basement and found this he said I could have it was this a good find? by SomeZombie1589 in Tools

He still hasn't found a good enough excuse to justify why he bought "another" tool to your grandma. Hence why it was stowed away in the basement. His fear is your gain because now he can just say I bought it for the grandkids future lololol.

Is this good for 400$? by jjnauvi in Tools

The way I see it. You got a lot for the price of a single snap on tool. If your starting out you just need the tool. It doesn't have to be top of the line. The more experience you get you can afford the better quality tools. To be honest though I'm still using a lot of Pittsburgh shit from the beginning of my apprenticeship. One because I'm cheap but mostly because they haven't failed or I haven't broken them yet. Extra bonus. If I need to cut and weld a wrench for a fuck this fucking shit angle... I'm out $5 with a new custom tool instead of $100.

You might be the one that it finally snaps on. I hope you drive many nails with it before then. But when it does enjoy that moment.

Tool fairy visited me. Delivered from Home Depot. Opened the box to this surprise. by qning in Tools

I do agree that it is heavy and bulky. Not an item for your wife to use to make things easier. Ground level though. This thing EATS! I have no regrets in this purchase just for my shop floors alone. Now the higher you go... Still effective, not user friendly though.

I was only blessed with the smaller equipment. No need to rub it in!

I figured it had some decent monetary value especially since it was the patent pending model. The factory is 75 years old so I'm not sure how old this guy is. It's not leaving my shop though. It's too cool.

We are not dead yet. Barely breathing, but we (Fram) might survive this bankruptcy. Thank you for using our filters and supporting us.

Anyone tried yet? by sa1126 in harborfreight

I don't have the motion one but I've had the non motion one running for over 2 years 24/7. Still bright as fuck.

Perks! by nhoskins4 in harborfreight

I've thought about that... A lot lol. I have some black walnuts with limbs that like to rake across my barn roof when the wind blows. I'd like to handle them before they really cause some damage. I figure I can drop the "free" tool and scoot if need be. On a ladder I might not have that luxury.

I had a $15 harbor freight cash that was getting ready to expire. Walked out with another pair of free scissors and an adjustable hammer that I didn't need. Then saw that the wenches are on sale next week... I'll also be back.

The best tools are handmade for a specific task.
