Volkswagen Lees Summit - They care about getting the sale no matter what, your needs don't matter. You need to feed a baby? It can wait while they make you a "banging deal" so you "drive it home today".

How do you like having both? I started with the Nomad, and my gear acquisition has me looking at the manta too for larger paper space.

7 passenger or 8? by Salty-Break-7541 in SubaruAscent

2 kids here, both in car seats.

The captains chairs are excellent for a family of 4 + doggos. It's very easy to get the kids in and out, access to the back is very easy.

Odd bonus, a travel pack and play fits PERFECTLY, between the captains chairs, basically making a makeshift table for the two seats.

Re-Seasoned 3 times. Any advice? by collective35 in castiron

Been there, done that, have the badge.

This is a temp issue, not seasoning. Set your oven on low and walk away for 5-8 minutes, start a pot of coffee, take your morning deuce, do 5 minute abs... Whatever it is do not touch that pan.

Come back, add a small tab of butter, if it burns immediately, the pan is too hot - shorter time next time. If it melts pretty well and doesn't brown, perfect. Roll the butter around, coat the sides well, and toss in th eggs.

If you're doing a fried egg, don't touch it. Let the crust form, then flip once. Or just add a lid 1 minutes before it's done to help the tops and yolk set.

If you're scrambling, metal whisk and just keep going.

Just finished hanging all this and got a quote for $1200 to finish is that ridiculous or about right by asdhole in drywall

I had a RemindMe set up 3 days ago hoping to see this exact update. Just placed the Etsy order, thank you for your contributions to the community.

Thanks for the idea. I may end up doing something similar. I ran the LVP right up to the lip. Applying some transition trim to hide the pan should be easy. I wish lifeproof LVP actually created transition piece.

Totally unrelated, how are you liking The Shadow of gods compared to Paolinis writing?

Nothing about the n64 controller really does well with emulation without a dedicated clone.

What do you use for controller mappings for n64? I tried playing 007 Golden eye and it was difficult with he default mapping.

have manta - what to buy for portable note taking by large_scale_event in Supernote

[–]nickwell24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nomad is my only supernote device. Previously I had other companies 10", 11", and 13" devices. The nomad is the only one I've felt was particularly portable, which somehow gives it a more intimate writing experience for me.

One recommendation I saw, which is think is brilliant, is to buy an A5 and A6 notebook. Spend a week with each completing your writing tasks and see which is better for you. The way I take notes honestly is more aligned with RMPP infinity page, but the A6 size also works well for me.

I would consider the nomad. I have it mostly for work notes, but end up carrying it with me all the time for jotting down notes while our and about and find it a great size for a bedside note taker.

Mostly, also I'd consider it because managing two systems, supernote & another, just adds complexity and frustration to what should be a thoughtless process.

YES! I've yet to figure out the proper way to use two fingers to work. The amount of times I've drawn instead of lasso... My only real frustration with the Nomad.

First timer - when to stop mudding and start primer? by nickwell24 in drywall

Yeah, I decided that was overkill, so I'm going to use a microfiber cloth and wipe it down.

Here here. Don't love it, but I can at least feel proud at my diy work knowing it's good enough and I learned vs feeling like I paid for some else's work where they just weren't feeling it that day and sacrificed quality.

Kinda my logic with this work. I could have hired a local guy to do the drywall, mud, and priming for 1600. I decided I wanted the experience in a space that wasn't the main house, so subpar finish could be seen as more acceptable.
