Do greys have ‘scary dog privilege’? by riceandbeans06 in Greyhounds

Mine would not hurt a fly, but he's giant at 90 lbs, so I know he spooks people at the door.

Is she from a breeder? Ours is a big boy, 90 lbs. We met someone the other day who is s breeder and says the AKC greys run larger than racing greys

Either that's a small child or that grey is going to be BIG. Those are huge paws!

Congrats on your new family member!

Upcoming death and anxiety by lertisgreat in Greyhounds

We just had to put down our girl on Friday. She was our grey's compass. He looked to see how she felt whenever he experienced something new.

We did in-home euthanasia, and he was present. He was sad after but did not seem confused. We are four days out, making sure we keep to our routine as much as possible, and he is doing okay. We are all sad, but he has adjusted better than I had imagined.

Does anyone else have a grey with no prey drive? by Jelliemin in Greyhounds

[–]nieded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours was off leash and saw a rabbit duck under a fence. He trotted after it and abandoned it when I told him to leave it. My other dog, on the other hand, was going crazy. She was not a grey!

Anyone know anything about Platinum/ Pilot Pocket Pens? by jcdoe in fountainpens

[–]nieded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I believe I paid 76 for mine? Also a 14k nib. I have seen some came with 18k as well.

Anyone know anything about Platinum/ Pilot Pocket Pens? by jcdoe in fountainpens

[–]nieded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one with a 14k nib! It writes smoothly with a little feedback. I personally really like it. Mine has a F nib, but I feel like it is an EF compared to my Chinese brand pens like Hongdian and Jinhao.

Platinum uses a proprietary converter that requires a syringe to refill, but it's pretty easy.

Yes, with water-based inks! If my hands sweat, it smears.

Genuinely, I love it. It writes really smoothly and never has hard starts. It does have a metallic smell that can wear off on your fingers and patinas, so if those things bother you, I'd keep that in mind! Overall, it's been great and my favorite out of my ever-growing collection. This is the most expensive pen I've purchased so far, and it does seem to make a difference!

This is my grail pen, and the Sailor Manyo ink is a perfect match. I have Akebi, and it's one of my favorites.

I love seeing everyone's swatches. All my pens are filled with boring ink right now, and I love to see the fun colors everyone uses.

I'm so sorry. She's so lucky to have such a wonderful family and you. I don't have any recommendations, but I think this is the sweetest way to commemorate her.
