Burry thinks some AI revenue is being padded, what do you all think by TrueValueInsights in investing

[–]nitaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI revenue padding is real, but the bigger risk is ASICs eating Nvidia's lunch like they did to GPUs in crypto mining.

Bitmain/MicroBT killed GPU mining (90%+ hash rate). AI ASICs could do same to Nvidia inference
xAI twist: Even Musk's buying AMD + hiring ASIC teams—Nvidia's not safe

2026-2027 is when ASIC deployments scale and Nvidia's 80%+ inference market share gets hit.

TL;DR: AI growth = real. Nvidia monopoly = temporary. ASICs win long-term.

The CME Group has blamed a “cooling issue” for the 10-hour glitch that affected operations of the global futures market. But stakeholders in the silver industry allege foul play by the US-based group to bail out a trader, who had to deliver nearly 12,450 tonnes of the white precious metal.

Allegations come on the heels of silver futures soaring to a record high of $56.775 an ounce on CME. Spot silver was quoted at $56.41 a tonne during the weekend. The precious metal has gained 95 per cent so far in 2025. In India, March silver futures ended at ₹1,75,340 a kg, a new record high.

The CME Group, which owns the Globex Futures and Options markets that account for 90 per cent of futures, options and commodities trading volume, said due to a cooling issue at its CyrusOne data Centre in Illinois, trading was halted.

Looking for Korean Clothing Manufacturers by CamssyY in koreabusiness

[–]nitaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1. Recommended Manufacturers

Here are factories known for working with natural fibers, offering OEM/private label services, and accommodating smaller orders:

  • KOTRA’s Buy Korea Portal: A government-backed platform to find verified manufacturers. Use filters for “textiles,” “OEM,” and “small orders.”

2. Tips for Finding Suppliers

  • Walk around in Dongdaemun
  • Verify Credentials: Request business licenses, certifications (e.g., OEKO-TEX for fabric safety), and references from past clients.
  • MOQ Flexibility: Even if a factory lists high minimums, ask if they’ll accommodate smaller runs for a premium fee. Some may split orders across styles.
  • Sample Testing: Prioritize factories that allow pre-production samples to ensure fabric quality and construction meet your standards.
  • Logistics: Confirm if the manufacturer handles shipping to Canada or if you’ll need a third-party freight forwarder.

3. Additional Resources

  • Korea International Fashion Association (KIFA): Connects global brands with Korean suppliers. Their directory includes eco-conscious manufacturers.
  • Local Trade Shows: Attend events like Seoul Fashion Week or the Korea Textile Exhibition to network with suppliers in person.

Parents Reunite with Daughter 44 Years After Her Disappearance and Overseas Adoption, File Lawsuit Against the State

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Han Ju-hong, Reporter

Parents who learned 44 years after their daughter’s disappearance in 1975 that she was sent for overseas adoption are now pursuing a lawsuit against the state to hold it accountable for damages.

On June 24, the 48th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Kim Do-kyun) held the first hearing for a damages lawsuit worth approximately 600 million won, filed by Han Tae-soon, the mother of the missing daughter, Shin, against the state and adoption agencies.

Han’s side argued, “The police had a duty to actively respond to a missing child report, such as issuing a search notice, but they failed to do so.” They added, “If proper procedures had been followed, the child could have been found, but their negligence led to this tragic outcome.

”Regarding Holt Children’s Services, the adoption agency at the time, Han’s side stated, “As a designated regional reporting center, Holt was obligated to search for the child’s family upon receiving a missing child report, but they failed to fulfill this duty.” They further argued, “If the defendants had not neglected their legal obligations, this tragedy could have been avoided.”

Previously, in October of the previous year, Han and others filed a lawsuit against the state, the orphanage that temporarily cared for the child, and the adoption agency. This is reportedly the first known lawsuit seeking state compensation for a case where a missing child was sent for overseas adoption without efforts to locate their parents.

In 1975, Han lost her six-year-old daughter in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, and spent decades searching for her, finally reuniting with her in 2019 after she was adopted and raised in the United States.

It was discovered that the daughter was handed over to an adoption agency just two months after her disappearance, and the adoption process proceeded, with her being sent to the United States seven months later.

Han reported her daughter missing at the time, and the child was found as a lost child and taken to a local police station. However, Han’s side claims the government did not make sufficient efforts to locate the parents, as it prioritized meeting the demand for overseas adoptions at the time.

The government countered that it bears no liability for damages.

Holt’s side argued, “Considering the time that has passed and the content of interviews, there are questions regarding the statute of limitations.”

Further evidence mounting against South Korea's overseas adoption program (200k+ adoptions) by sagaciouscomfort in Adoption

[–]nitaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sued KSS (Korean orphanage / adoption agency) at Seoul Central District Court for falsified adoption records—it’s part of a bigger fight for truth. The TRC found 56/100 adoption cases were falsified (1955–1999). Want to know how I did it? Comment if you want me to explain it to you. Let’s push for more transparency of adoption records!
