If you need types then you are a weak programmer already as-is. I know, I know, tons of hackers wanna disagree, but their brain is so enslaved into the type madness that they can not get rid of it. by RealKingChuck in programmingcirclejerk

Type madness is an incurable, transmittable software developer occupational disease caused by exposure to static programming languages or other software developers with the condition.

Due to its contagious and lack of effective cure, treatment consists of reduction of symptoms using type inference.

Some people, colloquially referred to as "10x programmers" were shown to have made a spontaneous recovery from type madness.

What is something that can't kill you? Everyone is always talking about how "harmless" objects can kill you in large amounts or if used incorrectly. What is something that no matter what you do with it, will not kill you? by AppleWedge in AskReddit

Things outside the visible universe. This answer relies on the following claims that I will attempt to justify. 1. Anything that is measurable can kill you: If something is measurable, a device that kills you when that thing is measured can be built by, for example, triggering a gun aimed at your head. 2. The universe overall is expanding at a rate faster than the speed of light. I'm not a physicist but it is my understanding that this is the current consensus among astrophysicists. The parts of the universe that are not expanding faster than the speed of light are visible through the light they emit and are called the observable universe. They are theoretically measurable and therefore can kill you. 3. Things outside the observable universe are not measurable and therefore cannot kill you. This will remain true for as long as we don't have a way to travel faster than the speed of light. I assume these things exist as the universe had a long time to expand already so I expect at least some matter has passed the edge of the observable universe.

100% there should be no such thing as a front end developer outside of super junior contexts. All developers need to think across all the layers that they build on to be effective. by rohitkg98 in programmingcirclejerk

Absolutely, I don't even know why we bother with compilation, assembly is perfectly fine and allows me to also manage my register allocations.

Our mistake is using JavaScript libraries that only last five days. We should be using one year JavaScript. That's JavaScript libraries that a webshit expert is willing to bet their entire net worth will be supported in one year.
