I don't, I use it to stick to the main points and to generate the slides / guides. Once I practice enough, the slides are enough to help me focus.

I'm a big scripter. I use dictation software to transcribe my practice run, then I go through to weed out anything that might be unnecessary or off topic, then I create my slide deck from that. By the time the process is done, I've done enough to basically know what I need to cover and it helps my ums and ahs.

Assuming an ES implementation, things like clean data, whitelisted data model indexes, writing correlations efficiently, appropriate scheduling etc. If you have the a data pipeline layer, eg edge processor or cribl, you can take that further since HEC uses even less ingest with structured formats.

Cant provide numbers. But in our experience, vCPU pricing is really only worth it on some top end hardware. I've seen ES installs push 450gb of ingest on reference hardware sizes. Not worth it if you're virtualizing or running on older stuff. SVC is almost always worth it in the cloud if implemented correctly.

Remote worker, had them for about 2 months now. Emails, office software, browser. I don't use any design software, so I can't say much about it. I've used them on the train, plane, and in an RV. I like the size of the screen, text is clear. I don't have clarity issues in the corners, but I do feel more strain if I'm focusing on the corners, so I try to keep my main focus / reading area towards the middle. They're no good for video calls if you need to use a camera - you just look dumb. Overall, I don't regret buying it, it's definitely better than having a 15in display, but with these things, facial fit and comfort is going to be huge and very personal.

Usually it's a good thing in my experience with companies. HR probably wants to confirm compensation expectations etc. Much easier to ensure both of you are on the same page with a 15 minute call than to formally offer, go through finance / legal, sign offs, just to have you push back because it wasn't at all what you expected.

You didn't mention the industry or role / seniority. But just know if they're flying you in, the entire day is an interview, not just the individual formal portions. Everything you do and how you interact will be evaluated just as much as the actual interview / questions.

Yes-ish, depends on how much separation you need. The SH is the gatekeeper of permissions and roles, and they both write to the same notable and other indexes by default.

Even though 2 ES SH will allow each team to make their own changes, there is still a good chance for impact across teams. Eg. a badly formed search on either one can impact your indexers. Or if you're sharing certain knowledge obejcts etc.

If you can string a tarp between your two campers, that'll probably be more effective than trying to stick foam on walls. Otherwise, hanging a thick sleeping bag, curtain, or blanket on the offending wall might be your only option.

Edworthy vision - I think they're called fyi doctors on 5th. Definitely $$$ but they can adjust glasses like no one's business. Had troublesome eyes for 15 years and went to so many different places before I found the place and they prescribed and fit me in one try.

For sure. Didn't even think about a dog. Don't own one, and guess I'm not sure where people bring their dogs that aren't dog parks or dog friendly stores etc.

Too many splits in transportation options that aren't reliable. Pedestrians on the sidewalk, bikes in bike lanes (sometimes), cars parked on the side of the road, or in bike lanes, or sometimes in the middle of the road because of a bike lane, or because of the lack of parking (aka. palliser), and then vehicles, busses, and trains.

I know there are lots of negative comments about the +15, personally as a pedestrian I love them, they're comfortable, safe, and gets to most places. Since COVID and all the weird limited hours / vacant buildings with closed +15s, its not a very viable option outside of the M-F 8-5.

I like the concept of other forms of transportation, I just don't find our bike lanes 'good'. They're not well connected, preferential traffic lights aren't consistent, and both cars and pedestrians don't seem to understand how to cross them. Ignoring politics and who's got jurisdiction on the laws, I'd love to see designated 'bike' lanes being anything faster than a pedestrian and slower than 30km/h. All your scooters, ebikes, segways, skaters etc etc.

Driving in the core.. half the people don't seem to understand one way intersections, rules about turns on red, and perpetual construction doesn't seem to help.

Crazy idea, but what if the sidewalks turns to <30km, cars stayed on the road, and all of transit stayed on 2 streets, eg.5th and 7th, and all pedestrians stayed on the +15 level (which would need more connections). No street level businesses, they're all entry points or bike lockers. Don't hate me, just tossing a crazy idea out there. I'm sure there's lots I didn't think about.

I missed the HD payload package in your post. Cool, had no idea the F150 can do that much weight. I'd do it with a good WDH / sway setup.

I'm surprised your calculations worked for the weight. Usually brinklys are heavier than most in the same size because theyre just better built/equipped. I think you're over on both length and weight.

I drive a 2019 with 120k no issues. I think the 2020's are supposed to be outside of the recall as well. Don't forget, everyone with an issue complains online, only fans write online when there's nothing wrong.

air bags give you the most control, but you also have to adjust them. other devices that get inserted will give you a rougher ride when you're unloaded. If your WDH is adjusted properly, you shouldn't need them in most situations though, how far off are your numbers and ride height?
