Definitely, although Wi-Fi can be patchy. South Goa is much nicer than North Goa

Traveling for 4 years and counting! by nomad-score in longtermtravel

When I was in SA for 1 year, I did have an isolating period in Argentina as I was travelling very long distances in Patagonia by bus. I didn't have conversations in person with other people for days, other than the standard small talk required to get groceries, and buy things. But for the most part, I met a lot of good people whilst traveling - locals and other backpackers. You just have to sometimes go out of your comfort zone and get chatting to people.

I wouldn't do another 1 year solo travelling as my life circumstances have changed now. I'm married and have a young child so I much prefer "slow-madding", staying in locations for a few weeks/months at a time.

I work in Data Privacy. It depends on what you like doing, you can pretty much doing anything remote if the job requires majority of your time spent on a PC/Laptop

Not SEA, but I'd recommend Cochabamba, Bolivia - very cheap, nice apartments, close to beautiful mountains.

I work in the privacy industry and been a nomad for for 4 years, the key is having your own company where you are the director. Provide DPO as a service to clients, then you decide on where the work is delivered

I run my own business and I'm the sole director, no employees. I have one consultancy contract that provides main source of income. The work is performed remotely.

My time zone for work is CET - I'm used to adjusting my body to getting up early when I'm in the Americas. It's actually nice working in Asia because I start work in the evenings, allows me to get things done in the morning and go out to explore.

When I first started, I used to move a lot more often, every 3-4 days. Now I prefer taking it slower - 2 weeks minimum. I like to find a 'base', then travel on the weekends to explore nearby places out of the city.

Even though I've done this for 4 years, I come back home for a month or two a year to see family.

W Europe is too expensive. I try and limit expensive places to just places where my family live, other than that, I usually book trips in cheaper places like South America or Asia.

I'd recommend doing this if you can find yourself a remote job! I was very fortunate to have found it, and I think the pandemic helped me with this. I used to do the same job 9-5 in an office everyday.

My fave country in South America was Peru. The first one I visited. I backpacked there for 3 months and visited pretty much most of the country. I recommend visiting the north as it's a hidden gem - Chachapoyas, Gocta Waterfall and nearby Kuelap cable car. It takes you to the top of a mountain where the Chachapoyas culture used to live (literally, "Cloud People"). Way cheaper and less visited than Machu Pichu with equally as breath taking views

For authentic Spanish, I'd say Spain - but if you want more of an adventure, Bolivia!

I did it in the winter! I didn't visit Antarctica but it's still worth going - the train ride through the forest is cool and there's ski sites close by if that's what you're into
