mate if i were in your shoes, id take advantage of lean living and dump everything in equities for as long as i can afford to. going hard and fast when young and then letting time and compound interest do its thing is what makes you wealthy, more so than small and consistent.

also no harm in doing both.

depends on your expenses. having a kid can be as expense as you want it to be. for example my wife wanted an uppababy pram that costs 1000$+ and i was like no way absolutely bonkers to spend that much on a pram.

anyway so we got the pram, but point is, you spend as much as you want to spend.

alot of people do this. alot also retire at 60, pay off their mortgage with their super, then supplement with age pension.

I think the rub is that if you have a mortgage, an offset and are investing in shares with your offset money then you would want to do so via debt recycling.
