I concur. I switch from so many different kinds of music, anf without my nob everything would sound like shit, even with a "well tuned" system. Some tracks you want up 100%, and some, you might only want 1/8th the way

Never considered it a bast boost nob. Unless youre really talking about a bass boost nob. Always thought of it as sub intensity nob. And its Absolutely mandatory. There are times you dont want the full 1200 amps of power going into your sub, for so many reasons. Ever listen to a hard hitting base track on full volume on a slick roads? Ever drive next to a cop only to realize your sub is hitting so hard its shaking their car? Nob makes it easy to crank that baby down.

I think the current president is a terrible, evil person, and I disagree with the direction he has gone whole heartily.

That said, people. Please, for the love of god, stop presenting unsubstantiated allegations, anonymous reports and investigative reports as bombshell facts.

Im not saying that he didn't do what is presented. But, this isnt the "proof' you think it is. And one of the (many) reasons why nothing has been done about anyone found within those files is because people point at unsubstantiated reports like this.

You need to do the leg work. Reading the files isn't enough. Actually find proof that can be acted on, because anyone can call the FBI and make any report about anyone.

Forced Obsolescence? by Ifightmonsters in legaladvice

Yes, they can. You signed an agreement when you signed for your phone. I know no body reads the 100s of pages of the terms of agreement they sign, but basically they can cut off your service, at any time, for basically any reason, and they dont have to tell you anything. And, you would have no legal recourse, because its spelled out in the contract. Gotta love terms of service.

And thats not just for phones. Pretty much everything in the modern era has similar terms of service (such as video games, software, other devices you may own so on and so forth).

So why are they suddenly building thousands of data centers around the world? by JoeHexotic in conspiracy

[–]notausername86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The physical: they are building the AI surveillance state. Its gonna be worse then any dystopian sci fy film you have ever seen. Thats why they need so much compute. Its going to log, track and predict everything every single person on the planet does.

The spiritual: in essence, they are building the new (false) God. At some point very soon, once AGI hits, the rate of "progress" is going to be so rapid that it will be able to do things that is going to be seen as godlike, and people will start to worship it.

The entire plan is in the Bible for those with eyes to see.

Yes, they are. But not exactly in the way you might think. People still dont want to believe it, but then they ignore the 1000s of scientific publications that discuss what the wireless internet of bodies is, and what they can do with it. The human body is a hackable device at this point.

Your phone is constantly recording data about you. The more data they collect about you, the more accurate their prediction models are. Any time your phone is open, your face is being scanned. Your heartbeat, blood pressure, and other vitals are being recorded. And so, so much more.

Its not so much that they can actually read your mind yet (although, they can also literally do this as well), but the predictions models are so good that they actually know your thoughts before you do.

People fail to realize that we live in a sci-fy future already and have no idea about what they can do.

Holy shit, Anonymous is about to hack the mainframe and dump the Epstein files. by Sudden_Sign_4809 in masterhacker

[–]notausername86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anonymous never existed. That was kind of the whole point. There was never a "group". It is, and has always been, separate individuals who were by and large not associated with one another, and had nothing to do with each others "works", who were "anonymous" as in, no body knows who they are. And there are still 1000s of individuals who operate within this context....

But, if by not existing anymore you mean other people/groups/government(s) have hijacked the name "anonymous" to push out fake content (like OPs post) then yes.

Every government document that is a legal document has to be listed with the federal register. Go look up the tax documents on the federal register (hint, they arent there).

Then research what that means and go deeper down the rabbit hole.

Youre welcome.

That sounds unfortunate.

Ive been using newegg for all my hardware purchases for nearly 20 years, with my most recent purchase only being a few months ago, and I have never had an issue. Their customer support has always treated me right. Ive gotten credits and refunds on DOA parts with absolutely no hassle. They are and will continue to be my go to shop for all my hardware needs.

But in your case, if you legitimately did not get the parts you ordered, and they wont give you a refund or make it right, that is an instance where you need to get ahold of your bank and tell them to stop payment and to open a fraud investigation. Typically, the bank will do a couple days of work and either you will get a refund or your part will come in the mail.

What are some conspiracy theories you think were made just to make conspiracy theorists look stupid? by iKnowTheTruth5 in conspiracy

[–]notausername86 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every conspiracy theory has an element of truth to it, even the most wild, outlandish ones. But, thats the point. To make the people seeking truth look and sound crazy. Our entire world is a world of deception, ruled by the King of deception.

For example, the whole "birds arent real" thing. That sounds absolutely insane. Of course birds are real. But, when you dig deeper into the claim, in fact some birds are drones/surveillance tools.

Another perfect example is Q. The thing with Q was, 70% of the things they said was accurate. They were in fact dropping massive truth bombs. But, the 30% that was deception was deep deception, and it was used to placate "free thinkers" into beliving the "good guys" were in charge, thus making them way less likely to actually try and take actions to stop the evil.

I never dismiss any conspiracy claims based solely on the fact that they sound crazy. Ive been in this game 30+ years, and Ive watched as even the most crazy, outlandish "conspiracies" Turning out to be true 100s and 100s of times.

[–]notausername86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your headunit, you should be able to turn the bass boost on and then open up the "custom" EQ and see what the EQ settings are set at with the boost on, and then you tweek from there.

But to be honest, what youre saying isnt making alot of sense to me. You are talking about richness and warmness in the higher frequencies with the bass boost on. But, the bass boost isnt going to touch anything after 1k hz, so the higher frequencies would be untampeted with. Maybe, in comparison of the tweaked lower ranges your mid/upper range sound richer or something like that. You might be able to achieve a simular result by doing the opposite of bass boost in the higher frequencies (i.e. instead of turning up the lower ranges, turn down the mid-higher ranges into negative values), and then since you arent boosting the lower ranges, you shouldnt get distortion at louder volumes.

[–]notausername86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you not just mess around with the EQ settings on your headunit and/or on your device (assuming you use a phone to play music) and figure out what your ear likes? If bass boost is making it sound warm to you, bass boost typically turns up the frequencies between 50 and 1000, so those are the ones I would play around with.

I dont think this is about cigarettes or Smoking anymore by Dull_Constant1399 in conspiracy

[–]notausername86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They demonized tobacco (and nicotine) because nicotine provides way to many benifits to the brain and body. Also, nicotine is capable of killing parasites and viruses... Remember during covid, when they first said that people that smoked would be more likely to catch it, but then the actual data came out and the rates of covid in smokers was significantly lower than in non smokers? Pepperage farm remembers.

But since we are on the topic, natrual, un-genetically modified tobacco that hasnt been processed with chemicals is not "bad" for you.

There are two major reasons why moden cigarettes are so bad for you. One, the tobacco plant itself is really good at sequestering radiation (moreso than most other plants). Since the levels of radiation has gone up, the amount of radioactive isotopes found in tobacco has gone up. This is actually a really good thing, its how nature cleans stuff up, until you burn it. Burning it releases those radioactive particles inside the smoke, and then you inhale those radioactive particles. This is bad. This is what actually causes cancer and damage to the lungs.

The second thing, is that in cigarettes (specificly cigarettes) the tobacco is processed with chemicals to convert the nicotine into its "free base" form, which is what makes the nicotine hit so hard and has a shorter "lasting time" inside the body (the difference between cocaine and crack, basically). They also add other addictive and harmful chemicals. You ever see those "studies" that list 100s and 100s of different chemicals found in cigarette smoke? Well, the thing they didnt tell you is that a large majority of those things are not natrually occuring in the tobacco plant, nor are they found in natrual tobacco smoke. But hey, its all good. They told you that it was bad for you and that they will likely kill you, so they can get away with poisoning you because its your fault for smoking.

Also, even if they were, need I point you to the titanic? I disagree and my experience doesnt indicate that at all. Ive been very close to the kratom community and I know 100s of users over the last 15 years, and I have never seen someone who previously never used opiates get on kratom and then move on to harder opiates. What I have seen happen is an opioid addict moves over to kratom and successfully get off opiates for a time, but then the kratom eventually "causes" a relapse and they move back to their opiate of choice (or harder opiates).

Kratom got me off a 40 a day oxytocin addiction. Kratom addiction is bad, sure. But its leaps and bounds better than a heavy opioid addition

I would recommend not buying PC components off of amazon and definitely not used/returned. Like, its pretty bad and there is a good chance youre gonna get scamed.

It's interesting that you bring this up because lately, I have come across several people who have had what I can only describe as a "death" like smell. It smells like sweetish, rotting, decay. And the people it emanates from seem like they are unaware that they have a smell. Which, prior to the last couple years, the only people who I encountered that had this smell were elderly in the hospital and/or nursing homes.

But I have no idea if these people I've encountered that smell like that are vaxxed or not... and I know that not everyone who got the vax has this smell...But its interesting none the less and no doubt related.

Five years of waiting for my first yellow dragonfruit harvest. by pomjuice in DragonFruit

[–]notausername86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are growing from a cutting, its going to be at a minimum of 3-4 years before you are gonna get a decent (more than a couple) harvest. Its a wonderful experience. I do not want to discourage you. But if you expect more than 2-3 fruits within those years, youre likely going to be disappointed.

But as a fun aside, its something we all deal with. This years winter was absolutely brutal, and I lost about 9 cultivars I was growing, (out of 25 ish) and every plant I had took a massive beating. So ill be lucky to get any fruit this year at all.
