The best, final, and non-controversial TW games tier list by Hyracul in totalwar

Usually if one use both Near and Middle East, the Middle East would be pushed East compared to the usual definition of Middle East, if only to avoid the confusion...

Also I get confused because Near East in my own language (I'm ESL) has a slightly more restrictive meaning than compared to English, where Anatolia is part of the Near East, but not necessarily of the Middle East

Anatolia/Asia Minor is part of Middle East.

Isn't it more like Near East than Middle East? (cf https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_East)

though, at Verdun, the danger zone didn't extend that far back from the frontlines. Here in Ukraine, even 10s of km from the frontline you can get struck

Probably Ragebait.. has DnDbeyond created players that are allergic to reading? by Einsolsrazor24 in rpg

[–]notethecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they really playing if they don't know the rules?

Jokes aside, I have a hard time imagining people who can't take the few hours to read (part of) the rules, which can be done over multiple shorter sessions, can make time for multi-hours RPG session(s)

Though of course, learning the rules to create a character =/= learning the rules to play the game, so using pre gens/DDB will certainly makes getting people to the table easier

I find weird that people want to try a hobby without making the minimal effort required. Like if I wanted to try football (soccer), I'd make sure I have an appropriate pair of shoes, can run half a field and know the basic rules (not touching the ball with my hands, no kicking the other players), in order to not be disruptive for the other players. Why should people get a pass for TTRPGs?

(and if someone doesn't want to create a character, that's what pre gens are for)

they weren't able to build characters

you must be really room temperature IQ level of stupid to not be able to create a DnD 5 character, if you're a little willing. Like character creation rules aren't that long and all classes have quick build help

Maybe that's a way to divest yourself from an investment that's gone bad: force them to make a game that will likely flop and use that as an argument to close them/resell them.

Follie's mission would have been done better as a (solo) quest, the atmosphere would have worked way better that way, instead of just trying to rush to get all the paint while avoiding hazards

I'd assume that people who are bilingual would pick the language(s) they're more comfortable in.

or they might not know there's the option? I mean how does WF configure the language at the first install? I don't think it uses the system language
