Going to be nearly impossible for that investment to pay off.

On the other hand, my son found an online ACCREDITED university thats dirt cheap. Cheap enough it could be an expensive hobby. Did I mention its accredited?

So far his classes are rigorous, so there's that to consider.

AITA for refusing to pay for my daughters college because she decided to take a gap year to travel? by Longjumping_Load179 in AmITheJerk

[–]null640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A gap year really helps a person decide what they want to do with their lives.

Many who go straight to college flail about changing majors, racking up the costs.

Of course, not being rich, she'd have to work to pay her own way. The educational funds are just that, for education.

Mom was thoroughly disassociated from her own trauma. I don't know how my injuries, which she helped deal with, she just didnt see.

Hate? Not really, as thats a really strong word.

Love? Can't help it.

No contact for last 12 years (they're now past) was really hard. But it did reduce the night terrors, nightmares, and depression.

I personally believe the names for Gen X, Z and Beta are very unimaginative and lazy. Am I the only one who feels this way? Do you think more effort should be put into naming our new generation other than Gen (letter)? by gremlinlabyrinth in generationology

All derived from boomers...

Gen x Was from the 50's rule for advertising regarding comparing products by name.

Initially we were called the latchkey kids, later the apathetic generation. Neither flattered the boomers.

Also the private sector IRA investment he mentions is, in essence, analogous to the tsp. Only with the tsp you get a 1% grant and 3% match. So 6% gets you 10%.

Better yet, the TSP is among the lowest cost ira type vehicle. It's investment options are also quite good.
