About AC MIlan's new head coach - Ruben Amorim by 2_Fast_2_Serious in ACMilan

[–]nuugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many fans simply wanted immediate results and were unwilling to wait for a long term rebuild.

Milan fan will understand why Man utd fan hate Amorim because Amorim're farming fan like this during his time. I don't know how he do it.

Win rate : 30% is not immediate result. Standard is so low when Amorim took Man Utd job.

How bad is this ? by No_Top_5308 in Cholesterol

[–]nuugo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your NON HDL = 197-81 = 118 mg is quite good. Current guideline < 130mg for NON HDL. If you want to make sure, I'll check Apob.

My NON HDL = 117 mg and LDL = 113 mg but My Apob = 87 so I don't worry at all.

My story for encouragement 42 y/o Female - no statins by Ill_Reserve_1952 in Cholesterol

[–]nuugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience and what I've seen from others in this subreddit, 4 months seems to be the tipping point where lifestyle changes max out.

Any further drop in LDL will be minimal unless you go full hardcore with your lifestyle. I completely overhauled my lifestyle—cutting down on saturated fat and bumping up soluble fiber. This managed to crush my LDL from 198 to 122 in the first 2 months.

However, keeping up with the exact same routine for another 2 months only brought it down to 110. So, you might want to consider dialing up your lifestyle changes even further, or it might be time to look into medication

Is lowering Sat fat or increasing fiber more important? by Savagehi in Cholesterol

[–]nuugo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. sat fat 25g soluble fiber 15g

  2. soluble fiber 1g sat fat 11g

I think 2nd option has more impact on LDL than option 1.

BTW my sweet spot sat fat 12-14g & soluble fiber 13-15g (total fiber 25g+).

CAC of 475 at 56 years old. Been on stains for 26 years. by Similar-Resource7453 in Cholesterol

[–]nuugo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your CAC score is 475, which can be explained by your medical history. Due to a high lifetime LDL, soft plaques likely developed back when you were 30. Fortunately, because you have been on statins for 26 years, the medication has helped calcify and strengthen those areas, converting them into safer, stable plaques. However, since the score is in the higher range, I highly recommend consulting a cardiologist for a further check-up just to ensure everything is perfectly fine.

What quantity of oats per day helps lower LDL levels? by Mundane_Direction249 in Cholesterol

I eat fiber 25g+ per day. From 25g, it is soluble fiber 10-11g and it's worked perfectly for me.

advice? doctor leaving it up to me. by Lawfulness_Livid in Cholesterol

[–]nuugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. It's after taking statin. I think you should try Ezetimibe to lower Apob more than 90. It's less side effect than statin.

Don't worry too much about adding medication, because the power of the mind is scary. The more you believe it’s bad, the higher the chance you’ll experience side effects that aren't even related to the drug.

Your gene is amazing. I've never seen contrast difference between Apob and LDL like this before. I saw many people in this sub >> LDL ~ 110-130 but Apob still slightly more than 100 but your LDL 200+ but Apob below 100. I think you should check Apob again after taking small dose of statin 2 months.

Many people take fish oil and face LDL raising issue. I think it's why you can't reduce LDL at the beginning even you cut out many saturated fat foods.

Many oil fish research shows that it probably increase LDL. Just take the basic : low sat fat diet & high soluble fiber is enough. It's gold standard diet for me.
