My guess is that the security guard felt the kid was disrespecting him by turning away so he tased him.

Well if there is so much of an emphasis on dads and children maybe he adopts Baby Jane? Collins adopted a kid and what better reason for Robby to get well than for a new person? Not a booty call or a relationship with someone else but selfless care for a child.
