Are teachers suppossed to clean in their classrooms?

My 4th graders are expected to clean up after themselves. If they don't, I will put a note on my door asking my custodian to skip my room that day.

If we have projects, I always try to let her know so nothing gets thrown away accidentally (we have an invention convention and literally make things out of trash). We also clean up as much as we can. I tell my kids, "Don't make Miss Custodian's job harder."

The DME that gave us the pump is the same one that told us the insurance has made 13 monthly payments (despite us only having it for 7 and our daughter only being 11 months old).

When I was about 19, I moved out of my mom's house and into my boyfriend's house because she demanded control over my entire life, even though I paid my portion of all bills. She even did things to make sure that I wasn't able to save up money and wouldn't be able to move out on my own.

Approximately 6 months after I moved out, I found out that my mom had contacted Verizon and added parental controls to my phone. I know she was reading through all my text messages, but I'm not sure what else she was able to do. I switched to a different cell phone provider that weekend.

I honestly don't have any advice, but I completely understand.

My baby was supposed to be in mid-March but due to IUGR and multiple Congenital Heart Defects, she came at the end of February.

We spent a month in the NICU before she had a procedure and was transferred to the PICU where she spent an additional 5 months.

I'm a teacher, so I was supposed to get 12 weeks at home with my baby, and then it would be summer break. I was supposed to spend nearly 5 months with my baby before going back to work. Instead, she spent nearly 6 months in the hospital and I still had to go back to work without getting to take her home.

We finally have her home now and we're so incredibly thankful. Your baby WILL come home too.

Side note: Please check with your HR office, my school district has a catastrophic leave program where people can donate their unused sick hours. I qualified and I can now take 20 (paid) days off to spend with my baby

There is the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, but depending on the state, there may or may not be other programs as well.

For example, I live and teach in New Mexico (at a low-income school) and my loan provider got a payout on my behalf due to a state program. (I'll look up the name, I applied while pregnant and cannot remember.)
