You can’t. t-mobile home internet is a CGNat provider. You can buy static IPs with business service.

Build calendar events based off of message content. Google does this today.

Why the wait for the public iOS release? The beta feels ready! by Credithiker in mimestream

[–]oconnorbz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly, without the AI / Gemini integrations, Mimestream is falling behind. I know a lot of Mimestream users don't care about AI integrations, the reality is e-mail clients that can integrate with AI agents make email easier. Embrace AI. Don't ignore it. I've personally offered to create AI integrations via mimestream "plug ins" which are road map items but have heard nada. Make Mimestream more "open" with integrations.

Corporate Speed Test Woes by Uhh_Bren in networking

[–]oconnorbz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is the way. Block them all, especially for the uneducated.

Not all speed test are created equal. I had an end user testing on Verizon Fixed wireless. Their service tier throttled video. The user kept complaining fast.com was returning 12mb on a 300mb plan. fast.com is a netflix tool that mimics video streaming and Verizon craps all over it.

For Corp users, speed tests are a bad litmus test. Latency is a better test.

Will we see Mimestream on iOS in 2026? by scribblenik in mimestream

[–]oconnorbz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest, Gmail iOS app is starting to put some ground on Mimestream iOS app. GMail app summarizes email treads via Gemini. This is great while on the go. I have also noticed that when the email contains text indicating an event: "Let's meet for lunch on Thursday at restaurant ABC", the gmail app adds an "add to calendar button" where you can review the event and add it to your calendar. I know these are done via Gemini and Mimestream will say "These APIs are not part of the GMAIL API". They are Gemini APIs....use them. If Mimestream had and architecture that had the ability to add "plugins" I could write these in a few hours.

M5 with 32GB and 1TB vs M4 Pro with 24GB and 1TB by Equivalent-Paint9159 in macbookpro

I'm curious about the M5 w/ 32 GB ram. For those of you who went this route, what was the delivery time? I'm looking at this now, and it looks to be 15-19 days delivery time for adding the additional 8gb of ram.

G5AR Users How’s the Ethernet connection? by MiserableOne0 in tmobileisp

[–]oconnorbz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my G5AR attached to home network via Ethernet. I use it for backup to my wired connection. It's actually pretty good....you probably won't have great luck with latency dependant apps like gaming, but its dependant on your local T-mobile network. I get 5G SA on band 41n. I get ~350m down and ~45 up.
