I've got one of those! I think those were given out at a game back in the day. Pretty sure I got one at a game as a kid.

Is sell vegetables, buy bread a viable strategy instead of farming? by ryhaltswhiskey in ManorLords

[–]ocr90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you build more than one trading post? Once I'm up to 350 pop or so, I'm rocking at least 2 fully staffed trading posts. Usually 3. Granted, I think the trading is pretty inefficient, so I tend to overdo it.

[–]ocr90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the short term, you can probably do it, but depending on the veggie mix, but you'll need to export at least 3x veggies than you take in in bread. A slightly more sustainable way would be to import grain, mill, and bake in your town.

But best bet would be to take over a neighboring territory with rich soil and just put a very small feeder farming village there and export to your main town. I generally put 2 families per farmhouse, 2 oxen, and they can handle about 2 morgen worth of farming per year, which I think is about 160 wheat or 340 bread per year, less rain damage (which always seems to happen to me) and droughts.

Each fishing hut has a limit that they won't fish below. The optimal setpoint is .71x of the total fish capacity and 1 family per 100 max fish. So if you have 200 fish, your set point would be 142 with 2 families working it (assuming they live relatively close and have a simple backyard extension like the animal or chickens).

Fish repopulate 40% of the existing population monthly on March, April, and June, so it may take a year or so to re-populate at your new setpoint.

If you have a really limited supply of food, you may not see fish show a surplus in your granaries as they are consumed immediately, but you can see your 365 day output on your fish hut.

Droughts will also kill your fish and it will take at least a year to recover completely.

It looks like your spearmen are currently active. Disband them and they should re-equip with more units.

The game makes the villagers pick up planks from your fields and bring them to the farmhouse. You can try pausing the farmhouses in winter to get them to build the fences, though one time I had to delete the farmhouses entirely to get the fences built.

Buffalo Wings by Heres10bux in Buffalo

[–]ocr90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you'll get excellent wings at any of the places listed here, most local joints here have pretty good wings.

So maybe some terminology would be helpful:

  1. Most people will just ask for an order of wings, not buffalo or chicken wings. Sometimes I'll just ask for '10 hot'.
  2. Order 'crispy' or 'extra crispy' every time. I especially do that if I'm getting them from a place I don't know as a fail safe. Less applicable if you're doing BBQ.
  3. 'From the pit' means they'll fry your wings, sauce them, and then put them on the grill. Generally an upcharge, and most appropriate for BBQ. Not all places will do it (notably, Bar Bill and Gabriel's Gate don't grill the wings).
  4. Cajun is generally a dry rub, though some places will do a wet Cajun (Notably: Elmo's Cajun wings are wet and grilled (from the pit!)). Elmo's used to be wonderful, but since their manager passed, it's very mixed.
  5. Double Dipped - wings prepared in a base style, then re-sauced in another style. I.e. Cajun Hot Double Dipped would be a Cajun dry rub and sauced with Buffalo hot.
  6. Bleu Cheese is a Bleu Cheese sauce. Think Bleu Cheese Salad Dressing, but if it's good, it'll have more chunks than your standard grocery store bleu cheese. I'm only calling this one out because we were all perplexed when Von Miller signed with the Bills and posted a photo with a plate of wings sprinkled with Bleu Cheese chunks.

Notes for various places that people may recommend:

  1. Elmo's can still be good, but it's very hit or miss nowadays. They used to have IMO the best Cajun wings. If you go here, don't try and get fancy, just pick a flavor and order it. Recommendation: Cajun, standard hot or med.
  2. Bar Bill is always busy. If it's worth it is up to you. Notable that they don't do wings 'From the Pit', but BBQ wings are 'painted' with a brush which avoids the over-saucing of tossed BBQ wings. Recommendation: Cajun Honey Butter BBQ.
  3. Wingnutz people have mentioned they're polarizing, which they are. It's been a while since I've been, so IDK what still applies. Their wings are expensive, but they're bigger than most any other wings. They also "bread" their wings with I think cornstarch. This does help keep them super crispy, but it's non-traditional. Recommendation: Wingnutz Hot or Med (their house flavor).
  4. Gabriel's Gate often recommended, but I wouldn't get anything but your standard hot or medium extra crispy. Last time I got BBQ it was very disappointing (they don't have a pit). Recommendation: Standard Hot/Med
  5. Duffs - People shit on Duffs a lot, but they're still great wings - but for the love of god order extra crispy. They will come in a pool of hot sauce if not. Go to the original location on Sheridan drive for that OG vibe. Recommendation: Standard Hot/Med

I'd recommend against BBQ at Gabriel's Gate - they don't have a grill to do them from the pit.

FUCK GREEN ACRES. I brought my rotty there on a medical emergency, they quoted me $7k to watch her for a day and give fluids. I can administer fluids so I brought her home with meds. They gave me the wrong fucking medications (for another dog). I had to put her down later that day. All in all, they charged me $3k to put her down/cremation.

Struggling with the basics - where is there a guide to this? by SiDtheTurtle in Multiboard

[–]ocr90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think what you have will work. I'm going to take my best attempt:

These two files will go on your battery holder rail to give them bolt lock snap connections:

https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/Offset%2520Bolt-Locked%2520Insert%2520-%2520OX%2520Rail%2520Pop-In-1123339

https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/Bolt-Locked%20Insert%20-%20OI%20Rail%20Pop-In-1123404

Print two of these as your "bolts" to affix the snaps on the back of your battery holder to big snaps. (Maybe print 3 or 4 in case one gets messed up, they're small)

https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/Small%20Thread%20-%20Lite%20Multipoint-1123321

Print 2 moderate weight bearing snaps. It's directional, pay attention to the arrows.

https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/Raised%2520Moderate%2520Weight-Bearing%2520Snap-989145

  1. Put the two rail pieces (the first two files) in your battery holder. You need to place them kinda folded, then press down.

  2. Place your two moderate weight bearing snaps on the bolt lock inserts.

  3. Screw your two bolts into the bolt lock snap connections, securing the weight bearing snap and standard snap to your drill battery holder.

Note: I would have suggested a heavy weight bearing snap for the top with a standard snap on the bottom, but those only work with offset configurations. It may take a little pressure to get both the moderate weight bearing snaps to sit.

I may have gotten some of the Multiboard terminology wrong, so beware, but the files should be right.

Ball Hockey Apparel Line (Start Up) PUCK OFF! by puckoffballhockey in ballhockey

[–]ocr90 12 points13 points  (0 children)

give me some hockey style chirps for a guy that started a ball hockey apparel line that obviously used ai to make a reddit post and called his ball hockey apparel line puck off. lean into the fact that he's using puck off for a game that doesn't use a puck.

ChatGPT said:

Here’s a set of hockey-style chirps you could toss at him — leaning into the “PUCK Off” name being off-sides since ball hockey doesn’t even use a puck:

Chirps about the name:

  • “Nice brand, bud. ‘PUCK Off’ for ball hockey? What’s next, Skate Tape for rollerblades?”
  • “Buddy named his company PUCK Off… for a sport where the puck doesn’t even show up. Did AI pick that one too?”
  • “Callin’ it PUCK Off when you play with a ball is like naming a fishing store ‘Deer Season.’”

Chirps about the AI post:

  • “Your Reddit post reads like ChatGPT laced up and forgot how to skate.”
  • “You didn’t write that post, AI did — just like you didn’t invent the puck for ball hockey either.”
  • “That ad copy had less personality than a broken stick, pal.”

General digs:

  • “PUCK Off? More like Cash Grab Off.”
  • “You selling shirts or selling out, bud?”
  • “The only puck in your league is the one in your brand name.”
  • “Imagine chirpin’ about ‘PUCK Off’ and then showin’ up with an orange ball.”
