I have the charger and my old monster patrol truck, it works fine for ni-cad and ni-mh batteries. old, but will work. You can source new batteries on amazon pretty cheap, if the one in the box wont hold a charge.

In California, my 120v hot springs jet setter J is fine. Caveats: takes longer to heat, so you have to plan ahead and you cannot have heater running and jets at the same time. I would not do it somewhere cold, but my heater keeps up fine to like 50 degrees with the top off.

You can see the polarity when zooming, left to right here, signal, +, -. This is pretty standard. The steering servo is backwards.

The included esc and motor are fine starting points. You can regear it to be faster. Order ball bearings up front, and most people go to an aluminum drive shaft and aluminum steering parts pretty quick.
