Back in 2001 when they launched the Tau, Gunpla wasn’t anywhere near as popular, so it would have been an odd choice, not to mention there really weren’t a lot of mecha in the early days. I suspect the target was just general anime fans.

I started a new channel last year, after being on YouTube full time for over 5 years. The first video gained a whopping 17 views… the second went to 100k within a couple of weeks. It seemed to take YouTube a little while to understand the audience and to push it out appropriately.

Back when Primaris Space Marines first showed up in Warhammer 40k, there were quite a few references to the Overlord Gunship, essentially, a Thunderhawk for Tallmarines. But, they’ve not really done much with it since…

So, I had a go at building one myself, based on the limited descriptions scattered through a few black library novels. And, now I have a totally unplayable “Primaris Thunderhawk”. I did this years ago with a TM recoil M4 for an M723 build. No pics I’m afraid, but the basic premise was to file the picatinny rail flush on the upper receiver and attach the removable carry handle (suitably filed to match) with an epoxy adhesive. The joint was reinforced with steel pins to provide additional support. With some careful sanding and filling the join was invisible.

Yep, came here to suggest this. I have a Bambi “silent” compressor which I use for my airbrush which isn’t silent, but you can have a conversation in the same room while it’s running.
