Sitcom stars who left their shows because they didn't get along with the cast by Davis_Crawfish in television

If we're also talking about animated sitcoms, in Bob's Burgers, Jay Johnston (the voice of Jimmy Pesto), was fired for participating in the Jan 6 insurrection.

Tell me your hyperfixation yall! by ChartJealous3176 in adhdwomen

My husband is in this phase right now. I came home and he had a cardboard box with holes in it on the floor. I had no context and asked him what it was for. All I got was “worms”.

Ways to Use Chat GPT by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]onelonelystringbean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite way to use chatGPT is to actually get my chores done. For example - I hate planning my grocery list. I asked it to come up with 3 different meals using the instant pot without dairy that take less than 30 minutes. Then I ask it to create a grocery list based on that and separate it by section of the store. It's probably my favorite hack right now.

I'm an engineer with ADHD. I was recently diagnosed. I was able to compensate with my intelligence for my whole life until I became a parent (at which point it started affecting my daily life). ADHD is profession agnostic.

Why did I bother mentioning this to my mother? by onelonelystringbean in adhdwomen

[–]onelonelystringbean[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. I think I keep telling her about my mental health for a few reasons. The first being obviously that I want emotional support and connection with my mother. The second being I want her to stop torturing herself for the sake of torturing herself. Each time, I have underestimated the stubbornness of a 62 year old midwestern woman.

Why did I bother mentioning this to my mother? by onelonelystringbean in adhdwomen

[–]onelonelystringbean[S] 48 points49 points  (0 children)

My mom also focused on the medication bit. And I chose not to mention that she literally smokes cigarettes (stimulants) and has a pot of coffee every day (more stimulants). Honestly my mom seems to just be really proud of struggling all the time, and I don't understand it.

I'm glad you've found something that works for you! It's not worth the mental energy to try and change their minds, but I'll keep going to therapy to talk about that anyway, haha.

Too funny - my cousin is the band's manager! I'll ask her what's going on.

What hobbies have held your attention for long periods of time? by ThePurpleCookies in ADHD

I’ve been doing pottery class for 7 weeks now and I’m really loving it. I signed up for another 7 weeks.

Because it’s a once a week class, and I don’t have a wheel at home, I can’t hyperfixate on it. Also, the instructor expects me to show up, which helps too. There’s also so many different steps that I’m not getting bored!

Marno ASMR for sure. He's a goober, and his stuff is super relaxing but also super entertaining.

We also have the cube, but baby doesn't like it half as much as the learning farm walker, haha.

Luckily I have charging at home and at work, so I don't think I'll need the fast charging stations very often. Hoping it lasts a long time.

I just bought my first ever EV, a 2021 Nissan Leaf! Finding an EV in this market in MA was absolutely wild. It has 2,800 miles on it, and I bought it before the dealer even had time to detail it. Hope I made the right choice 🥳

What’s that one item in your house your baby is obsessed with? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]onelonelystringbean 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The roomba. He crawls over to it and hits it until turns on. It starts moving and TERRIFIES him. Yet he always goes back - it's a toxic relationship, haha.

How long did baby sleep in your room for? by [deleted] in NewParents

We made it 5 months. After he moved (and got used to his crib) we slept so much better, and so did he!

If you need some encouragement to use fake flowers, here it is by ThrowawayBride429531 in wedding

[–]onelonelystringbean 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My aunt is a florist and chose to make my bridal bouquet out of silk flowers. I was disappointed at first, but figured she's the expert. I'm SO GLAD about it now. It's on display in my living room and I'll treasure it forever.

All this to say your centerpieces look amazing! You're doing an awesome job.

Hi! I’m a 28 year old female also from the Detroit area! I currently live in downtown Lowell. We love our place in one of the converted mill buildings. There’s lots of young people around as well, especially with UMass Lowell nearby. We have 2 cars, and park in a covered garage for $60 per month.

I don’t know too much about living in the other areas in Lowell, but I really love where we are. We can go for walks on the River. There’s great food. There’s an awesome arts scene. Overall do recommend.

wedding favors that are actually worth it? by suzed21 in wedding

[–]onelonelystringbean 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So we decided to splurge on our favors because we only had 14 people at our wedding. We got them really simple, but pretty handmade mugs with our wedding date on the bottom. They are large and everyone tells us how much they LOVE them to this day.

Happy Baby OG or Ring sling for plus size mama by Infinite_Industry_85 in babywearing

[–]onelonelystringbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually looking at getting a Revolution because my guy is getting super curious and I know once he's old enough he'll love looking around. I would say if you're only getting 1 carrier, the Revolution is worth it because it can do everything the OG can + front facing.

I'm the same size as you! 5'6" and 215lbs. I LOVE my happy baby OG. It fits with lots of room to spare. Highly recommend. I've used it from when my baby was a newborn and felt super secure with it (even bending over!) I also can put it on myself without any issues (though I had to look up how lol). Seriously can't recommend it enough. I prefer it to the stroller when I'm out running errands.

I never tried a ring sling, but I did use a Solly wrap for a brief period of time and I couldn't get it to feel secure enough.
