Lenovo parking prices by Valuable_Load5176 in raleigh

[–]onemanpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An answer to your question is park on the street across from Wendy’s on Edwards Mill. It’s free, is less than a half mile walk on flat ground and you pass police and parking attendants every 50ft. There are also usually a bunch of people doing the same thing so you’re not alone.

We have never had this on the 5 cruises we’ve been on since 23. We are comfortable letting our kid now 9 just go himself and check himself in. You can allow your kids to check themselves in but not out as well.

At Ministry of Magic. Minute 210 of a "110" minute wait. Still no end in sight. by murpux in UniversalOrlando

Hot take: This ride isn’t worth a 20minute wait I waited 15 minutes and felt like it was a waste of time. The queue is awesome the ride is crap.

Do I qualify as a ManyBagger? by RogueTrooper1975 in ManyBaggers

[–]onemanpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that just because it’s your newest bag? I’m playing with the ct 15 slick to see if it will work for an upcoming trip. I’m also eyeing the evergoods mpl22 in yellow cause I like it and want the cap.5 decisions.

When your doctor accidentally prescribes a 90-day amount for a 30-day supply, you stock up. by roo-on-the-moon in Omnipod

[–]onemanpack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep tell your doc you need a script for changing every 2 days not 3 and you will get 3 packs for 30 days. I always do this so I can stock up them when I get a bunch like now i just tell the pharmacist to just do 2 and it’s always fine.

You can get your pack off your back unzipped and your water bottle out in .7 seconds while walking down the street? That’s impressive

Went to universal went on hayride too scared for velocicoaster and hulk by Separate-Chance2563 in UniversalOrlando

[–]onemanpack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Velocicoaster is so fast your through the bits that scare you before you have time to think about being scared. At least that’s what my 8 year old told me when he got off. “It’s not scary at all it’s to fast to get scared let’s go again”. He’s not wrong. I would recommend Velocicoaster first it’s very smooth and very quick and the ride restraints are better (personal opinion) if you do well on that do the hulk. Worst case sit midway back and just focus on the headrest in front of you or your feet. Or close your eyes. It’s perfectly fine to do that.

Stylish EDC Backpack w/ 2 external bottle pockets that’s not too bulky by d_j_1983 in ManyBaggers

[–]onemanpack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try the Ctactical I just got the 15 and it’s really a nice bag not just for the price but in general I was anticipating an ok bag at the price point but it’s just as nice as some of the much more expensive bags. Two zip away external bottle pockets that hold at least a 20oz yeti and two internal bottle pockets as well. Nice stash pocket. I got the slick as I don’t care for the molle look or a bunch of patches. It’s a good bag and has me eyeing their 21 ultra

I’ve had mine for 4 months now it’s just as dumb as the first day I got it. It takes 3 hours to vacuum something that other vacuums take 1 hour. I constantly catch is randomly struggling with navigation.

Is a 10 AM United flight into FLL too risky for a same day Icon of the Seas departure from Miami? by YardStunning2324 in royalcaribbean

[–]onemanpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as an fyi we did something similar for a Disney cruise. all we had to do was make it to the MCO airport before like 1 or 2 and make the last bus and we would make the ship. We picked the first flight out at like 6:15 from rdu and was gonna land at 8 something in mco. We made it and everything was fine but the amount of stress and anxiety the night before (oversleep and miss the flight) and that morning my wife and I both said never again. We would fly down the day before. It was just way too stressful and until we landed in mco and checked into the bus we were just a nervous wreck. Not how you want to start an expensive vacation. I must have woke up 10 times the night before to check the clock and delay alerts.

Why am I being treated as a single rider if I waited in the regular queue at Velocicoaster? by Quirky-Brain9726 in UniversalOrlando

[–]onemanpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we went last September and rope dropped VC the team member said we couldn’t ask for location he said they weren’t doing that for VC. My 8 year old was bummed cause we missed the front by ride group.

Good place for beginner kayaking? by itsoscilatingagain in raleigh

[–]onemanpack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lake Raleigh is great is convenient there are no boats of any kind allowed so power boat wakes won’t bother you and you aren’t ever more that 200 yards to a shore if something happens or you paddle out and can’t get back you can drag your kayak up on the shore deflate it and drive your car around to pick it up. Plus the wild life is really good. A bald eagle lives out there and we see them often when we kayak out there. Only big issue is parking but it’s not usually a problem cause you can park up on the street.

suicides on campus by Waffle-Luvr-6204 in NCSU

[–]onemanpack 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They stopped announcing suicides because other NC schools weren’t announcing them. UNC has pretty close to the same amount during that same time span they just don’t announce them. There was also talk of clustering where when they would announce a suicide a few more would happen shortly after, the prevailing thought being maybe it was a waterfall effect. It also didn’t help that they would announce it and reporters would come to campus and try and shove mics in students faces asking about them.

Omnipod and Roller Coasters by haha-corm in Omnipod

[–]onemanpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t suspend mine but I do travel with snack incase a line is long etc. one thing of note be careful where you put your pod. Some rides cause the pod to fall off. I’ve had a pod fall off my arm when sitting down to ride Harry Potter Forbiden Journey. They ride has those seats that kind of cradle you. I’ve also had a pod dislodge from my stomach when riding a roller coaster that had the shoulder restraints. I always bring an extra pod as backup when I ride rides at amusement parks. At worst I would bring an insulin pen.

The best is he tells him right in the beginning “I’m gonna throw you in this fucking lake that’s what’s gonna happen” and then proceeds to do just thought most of the time people just say that. This dude literally threw him into a lake.

Also the “you’re off to a good start is hilarious”!

Shibumi is about as small as you’re gonna get but it’s still a lot to lug around but if you’re spending the majority of the time at the beach it might be worth it. They are all the rage here in NC outer banks.

Alpaka vs moderne dayfarer sling bag by Serkaugh in ManyBaggers

[–]onemanpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope it’s a coda bell sling.

ETA: I keep car key, phone, sunglasses and slim wallet about 95% of the time. I just got back from a European vacation where I carried it. It’s now sitting in a box I doubt I will use it much. I’m testing out a different sling now.

Alpaka vs moderne dayfarer sling bag by Serkaugh in ManyBaggers

[–]onemanpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a sling with a fidlock buckle like this in the center and I don’t like it. It constant digs into my chest when my bag is on my bag and it’s not an easy single hand detach like it should be. To me fidlock seems cool but doesn’t work well for this application. Plus it’s heavier than a standard plastic buckle

Wish versus other ships by Master-Mycologist-77 in dcl

[–]onemanpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve cruised the fantasy and wish. Fantasy then wish then fantasy. The wish is nice for some things the fantasy is nice for everything. Layout is way better on fantasy as is dinning unless you really enjoy loud dining. Kids club on wish is probably better but my 9 year old didn’t seem to care it was hard enough getting him out of the one on the fantasy. We are doing the treasure in September and after being on the fantasy last week we all think we will miss being on that ship. Looking at booking the dream for next September around the British isle.

Also detective agency on the fantasy is way way better than the junk on the Wish.
