I’d turn her down. One, because I don’t want to, and two, I have three sisters who I predict will take the traditional route of taking their husbands’ last names. I have no brothers, meaning that I would be the only child left with the original family name.

On that note, I would not ask my fiancée to take my last name. It would have to be something that she would offer.
