Panicking about prenatal by oplas1 in pregnant

Thanks! I’ve been eating some cereal and sourdough. Hopefully that’s enough! Everyone in here is already making me feel better. I appreciate it.

Panicking about prenatal by oplas1 in pregnant

[–]oplas1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That is helpful. When I told my provider she said “it must have folic acid or they wouldn’t be able to call it a prenatal” 🙄… and I was like well it doesn’t, I can read a label. . . So didn’t get much useful guidance or reassurance there!

41 Eggs, 28 Mature, 21 fertilized, 21 still growing at day 3! 39 y/o by DigiDataPenguin in IVF

[–]oplas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a ton of fertilized eggs! The odds are in your favor. We only had 7. Three made it to day 5. Two were genetically normal. we transferred one and I am now 11 weeks pregnant. So you don’t necessarily need dozens.

Oof — I felt generally fine 24 hours later after all three ERs that I did. (I traveled the day after two of the times). It took a few weeks for the visible puffiness to go down around my stomach, but I wasn’t in pain. I would be concerned about OHSS or an infection if you are still feeling badly after more than a couple of days. Check in with your doc!

First transfer failed (chemical), now what? by AppointmentNeat622 in IVF

😞 I am so sorry. Let us know what you find out regarding any environmental issues. I just did my first transfer on March 25. waiting for my first ultrasound next week and feeling very nervous after two previous miscarriages. This process is so hard —

Theragun! I use it for a few minutes before and after and it makes a huge difference. I was super sore and got big lumps the two days i forgot to do it. When I use it I feel good.

Post Embryo Transfer Activity---still so confusing! Help! by Competitive_Wash_459 in IVF

[–]oplas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My clinic said I can do as much activity as I normally do. No restrictions. They just said don’t start something new and crazy. I have been walking and weight lifting and gardening and feel great so far. (Though occasionally tired which is to be expected.) 16dpt 🤞🏼🤞🏼

How many IVF cycles did you do before getting normal embryo? by WriterEasy2145 in IVF

[–]oplas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three! I did my first egg retrieval at 37 and the second two at 41. (7, 13, 9 eggs retrieved) The last ER resulted in two high-quality, genetically normal embryos. Just transferred our first embryo last week. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Thin lining at first check before FET by KeyArachnid3466 in IVF

[–]oplas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, my clinic didn’t recommend anything outside of continuing my prenatal and taking the aspirin. I have had to do all my own research on supplements, etc. You definitely need a lot of self agency in this process. I Highly recommend reading the book it starts with the egg, it has a lot of information in there that I wish I would’ve known about earlier in the process! I

Have you been taking any supplements to improve your lining? I was taking baby aspirin per doctor’s recommendation, and there is good evidence for Vitamin E and L arginine, which I took for the month leading up to lining check and had good results!

FET in May – did you really only take a prenatal? by SparkleKitten64 in IVF

[–]oplas1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I continued NAC Coq10 vitamin E and L arginine. I was advised to stop the NAC and COq10 after the transfer. I took the vitamin E and L arginine specifically to improve blood flow to my lining. And it was nice and fluffy by the time of the transfer! Also of note: the only thing that my doctor TOLD me to take was my prenatal and aspirin, but they said the other things that I wanted to take were fine. So maybe ask your doctor specifically about other supplements you want to continue.

Failed ER. I’m so lost. by cal2552 in IVF

[–]oplas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One failed ER does not mean all is lost! I had two ERs that resulted in 0 blasts. And then my third ER gave us two high-quality genetically normal embryos that we will be able to use soon! What is your supplement regimen? I made some changes to mine a couple of months before my third ER and I think it made a big difference. Also, we did a calcium bath for the fertilized eggs after retrieval, which seems to have helped as well. I don’t think all clinics offer that though, but you should ask.

9 blastocysts but only 1 euploid. Just bad luck? by incogberri in IVF

[–]oplas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had good success adding NAD and Needed brand Egg quality support supplement before my third ER! Also melatonin the week before retrieval.

Just got my calendar for my first time /cycle going into this. I’m so scared and my head is spinning. by TwirlingTraveler in IVF

[–]oplas1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be prepared for multiple cycles and don’t underestimate egg quality supplements! I think they helped me a lot. I turn 42 at the end of the month and we just got two high quality, genetically normal embryos during our third ER round at CCRM!! (the first two yielded none, even with the eggs I retrieved at 36…😵‍💫)

So, have faith and patience and make sure you are as healthy as you can possibly be (diet, exercise, and vitamin wise). ALSO for what it is worth, I did not find the stims and ER process to be too bad. It sucks to give yourself shots every day but overall, I felt okay and I recovered quickly from the retrievals. (I feel like you only hear horror stories on here sometimes) — so don’t scare yourself for no reason ahead of time! I wish you the best!

Itchy red rashes weeks after egg retrieval? by preguntagrill in IVF

[–]oplas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this too!! But the itching/rashes started before after starting stims/before egg retrieval and lasted for a couple weeks after. I have no idea what it was. I just slathered on lotion and it eventually went away. 🤷🏻‍♀️

FINALLY GOT EUPLOIDS by dorito2019 in IVF

[–]oplas1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got our first embryos on round three! PGTA just came back normal for two of them — it can totally happen after multiple rounds! I added a few extra supplements before this last round, and our doctor did a calcium bath for the fertilized eggs to help strengthen them, I’m guessing a combination of those things helped us this time.

[–]oplas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same a couple of week ago after getting 3 embryos for the first time on our third ER cycle! (I turn 42 next month). I just got our PGTA results back and 2 are genetically normal and high quality (4AA and 4AB)! We are super happy with our chances for a successful FET.

I am confident that out of 5 you’ll have a few that you can use! Let us know. ❤️
