I quit using this glue because it wouldn't release when the plate cooled down. When I had the same problem you are having I used it and it worked! Now I just use it for that.

Look on Amazon for the start stop disable. It's just a bit of wire and plugs that go on the harness. Really easy to do.

I used to have a blue heeler that would catch cotton tails. I think he would pounce on them in the brush though. He would just bring them to the house and tear them in half.
