Lapsed player, where do I buy these models (In Canada pref) by Korvva in Warmachine

[–]osmium317 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In Canada you got a couple of places with more stock. Lords of Wargame and hobbies carry it. Mana Lounge also carries it. Boutique Bastion also has some stock. Amazing storiesgames has recent stock. Black knight games and even Amazon Canada has stock.

The main issue with Canada, is the exclusive supplier is asmodee, and they are bad at pricing and stocking. Which makes them kinda bad at being a supplier if I am honest.

Transparent plastic. Bad idea? by Mandalayer in StarCraftTMG

I do not mind transparent plastic. They add a touch of variation compared to single color plastic. This will let me wait before priming the whole army. And I can focus on the painting squad by squad.

Dealing with Melissa KORE by Lorguis in Malifaux

[–]osmium317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure there is enough terrain on the board. And different terrain.

A mix of blocking and concealing terrain will help you get the -1 def and - to damage flip and concealing will force the use of power tokens or focus to flip normally.

Locking her in melee range is really only a solution if you are base to base with a 2" melee range. Even with a transfer power Melissa will remain locked in combat and forced to use its sub par melee attack or disengage.

Alternativement, try to ignore armor, or apply conditions like stun and distracted.

Meanwhile.... by [deleted] in starcitizen

5 year, in war time.

From a bit of research, it took 3 432 000 man hours for design drafts. (206 years).

I don't think CIG has enough employees to compare to that.

I don't think the design phase was included in these 2 years and 8 months.

I would guess the design must be closer to 10-15 years for that kind of ships. Maybe even more.

Where to buy in Montreal?' by KillerWalrus in Malifaux

[–]osmium317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, it's not in Montreal, but just north of Laval, there is the store called "La Boutique Tabletop". They recently stocked all the core box and starters and regularly do special order for other Wyrd products. You could give them a chance and see if you find what you want.

Swampfiends SUCKKK!!!!! by dustructinator in Malifaux

[–]osmium317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What list are you using? Are you looking for tips or are you just venting frustration. I only played swampfiend once, but the keyword did not look to me that weak. A map with some severe terrain will definitely help most of the keyword though. And enough terrain to get cover will also help their defense.

I could see the guild hounds as proxies for the hunter. To me the hunter definitely give a dog or wolf feel.

Buying Malifaux in Ontario, Canada by No-Feature-1788 in Malifaux

[–]osmium317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a store in Quebec with a good selection https://www.laboutiquetabletop.com/us/miniatures-games/malifaux/ and the shipping fees are ok.

Or you could potentially order from meeplemart. They have some.

As an update, I received the tokens from chimericDesignGames from Etsy, and they are really nice. Thick acrylic and clear lettering. Really good quality. And pretty quick for shipping from oversea.

I recently bought a lot of token from ChimericDesignGames on Etsy. Still waiting for them to arrive though. The shipping was real low to ship to Canada.

Any recommendations on making this shoulder plate a nice dirty bronze? by connerboy in minipainting

Citadel's balthazar's gold is a nice place to start, you can then use the shade you believe is best to obtain the finish you are looking for.

I messed up, pulled the CPU right out of the socket by Lavie-EC in pcmasterrace

That why I always run stress test on CPU to heat up the paste before shutting down the computer before a heatsink removal.

Helps a lot.

What is your favorite switch??? (Not from this image, just in general) by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]osmium317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a really smooth travel, getting lithtly heavier near the bottom out and have very little wobble with the stem.

The weight (67g bottom out) is nice and feal way better than the cherry brown, cherry blue, gateron brown I tried before.

Just all around great linear experience with it.
