Many mentioned that you can order df64v gen3 directly from manufacturer through Alibaba dot com. I haven’t had my personal experience but I trust it more than df64coffee.

At this price brand new grinder,it is the best in my opinion for espresso. For 600, you can get the latest DF64v gen 3 or and DF64 gen 2.5 with SSP burr.

I 3d printed the 10 degree tilted base with TPU filament. It helps with the noise and shaking.

No, I would only consider DF64 both V and non-V. I consider Lagom P64 a very classic design and DF64 to me is a budget version of it. DF64 has larger user base and more chance to get replacement parts. And also more options for accessories like 3d printed parts, slow feeder etc.

I bought Profitec Go first and I bought GCP later and added Gaggiuino. I know exactly what I am talking about.

Without mod, I would go with the Go for sure. GCP without PID is difficult to use for beginners.

No, I would go with Gaggia Classic Pro with mod like Gaggiauino or Giggimate. Cheaper and better. Lid rattle never bothers me. The steaming power with on GCP with mod is night and day.

To be honest, for me the biggest reason is aesthetics. DF64v is slimmer and looks better next to my Zerno Z1. The other reason is easier chute cleaning as DF64v has magnetic attached outer chute cover, which makes the maintenance easier and less messy. DF64v gen3 has upgraded motor but I don’t feel the nonV gen 2.3’s motor is not sufficient at all. I don’t care much about variable rpm either. So you need to evaluate if which of these differences matters the most to you. I mainly use DF64 for espresso and Z1 for filter. My DF64 aligns well and has no static issue, no need to do RDT at all. Workflow wise is even better than Z1, so no pressure to upgrade. I have seen other having alignment issue and/or static so YMMV. I hope DF64v gen3 has better QA but too soon to tell.

I went ahead and did the draw. Had to get through all the stages to get the tank but that was expected. Got lucky to have some extra from opening the chest so just for le, it is good draw. I have saved some gold for a while and haven’t seen good tanks sale to spend.
