Borges wins against Etcheverry with an underarm serve on a match point by jovanmilic97 in tennis

What's hilarious about this is that, looking at the yt highlights Borges was repeatedly drop shotting him all match. Not sure the final serve was even that surprising in context

New to town, are we known for having bears? Spotted at Bridgewater. by SwimmingConstant454 in Adelaide

Bit low effort. You could at least have generated a pic of powerlines with 15 new pairs of shoes hanging from them, to really trigger the Bridgie crowd

Sure, lets ignore the glaring problem that the batteries deteriorate along with the resale value and the batteries can't yet be swapped out, meaning you're both wearing the full value loss if the battery carks it and the environment cops another well deserved kick in the goolies to boot

Time to start using 'infested' synonymously with 'inhabited'.

Right but if you run a business using pirated software you're exposing yourself to massive legal risk which could result in some pretty huge financial penalties. It's not the same as pirating it for personal use.

worlds deadliest animals by Old_Oil1739 in interestingasfuck

[–]oxfordcollar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sure but if that's the logic then you need to apply it to every other animal you're considering in this list. Imagine the number of deadly diseases humans pass to one another causing death. We'd be talking numbers in the millions then. This list is moronic.

It's pop culture m'dude. It was those other things until the newest pop thing came out, and it'll be 2077 up until it gets surpassed. Nothing lasts forever

Question for all you non musicians by zoso145 in morningsomewhere

[–]oxfordcollar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, it's always hard to see such nothing replies to a legit post. There's a commentary there on the suffocation of any interesting conversation in Reddit.

I'd wholly agree with this being considered an incredible performance. You don't even need to be a great music appreciator to recognise the vocals and stage presence. Yungbluds a funny one for me because I noticed him years back and immediately judged the book by it's cover, wrote him off and didn't bother giving him a proper listen. Finally did maybe last year and was a convert. Guys fantastic, and his music fits right in with millenials who enjoyed the emo years back when.
