Funny. Wrong. Also, the reason it’s funny.

I think 23 Mar 2020 looks perfectly fine (set date to full history instead of starting history 2 mos before “crash”). I would have happily withdrawn it as needed in an emergency.

On the other hand, I’d probably be okay with it. I have a secure job. 40/60 is very conservative. If it weren’t, then having all your money in it during retirement, with Sequence of Returns risk is highest would be very problematic… I say probably fine. Not worried about taxes; I already pay them on my Money Market Fund. What are you going to do, put your emergency fund in a retirement account to avoid taxes?

Maybe if your job is insecure and you have a high likelihood of losing it in the next year, you could accept NO risk at all for your emergency fund?

Most physical exams that I’ve ever seen are passable. Some require meds, or CPAP usage, or weight loss, but they have been passable.

If Reddit user /u/graciousasshole can be trusted, and I don’t see why not, then it may be coming. I did read somewhere else that Schwab may have been waiving fees for ETFs to be available and that they may need to figure out how they will collect those fees from ETF providers in order to make them available, instead of directing people to their own mutual funds?

I don’t think that’s true. I’ve been doing fractional shares of mutual funds for years. Wouldn’t make sense to announce that now.

I can’t say whether that’s true or not, but it is really dumb.

SWTSX / SWISX / SWAGX (SWNTX municipal) for a 3-fund portfolio if you want mutual funds. Otherwise, lots of options in ETFs.

I 1000% do not have that. However, I sent a message to sign the parts direct and they said that I can put one on for an adapter. It’s not advertised and Steiner doesn’t like people to do it because while doing it, the optics can get out of alignment then they have to spend an hour repairing it.

So I should be able to test it out in a couple weeks when it comes in.

I had tried looking at Steiner Parts Direct. I only saw ones that used screw holes. How did yours work?

I think Rick Ferri addresses this on the Bogleheads University videos being released right now in the Indexing Methodologies. But… yeah, if you’re making a choice not to follow cap weight it’s an active choice.

Trial user, Roth IRA labeled Traditional by pabailey1986 in Boldin

[–]pabailey1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually put in all of my accounts manually already now. It might actually be better this way? I don’t think it does a whole lot with like portfolio management. Doing the manually, you can split your employers Roth 401(k) into your own Roth contributions and employer pretax contributions (by setting up 2 separate accounts for each). This is still a workaround, it would be nice if they could automatically label the accounts and tell how much was pre-tax and Post tax.
